Renault has lifted the veil the 2013 Scenic XMOD which is scheduled to debut in March at the Geneva Auto Show.
The Scenic XMOD still has the typically MPV-shaped body of the Scenic but the XMOD gets raised ride height, a new front grille, "butchier" front and rear bumpers, new alloy wheels, the lower section of the doors and roof bars to give it the pseudo off-roader looks.
A new seven-inch R-Link touchscreen is the main difference in the cabin and a multi-directional joystick for controlling the multimedia system.
Buyers can order it with Renault's new Extended Grip traction control system with a rotary knob located on the center console.
The Grip Xtend has three modes: Road, Loose Ground and Expert, while boot capacity of the new XMOD is also increased over the Scenic, up from 522 litres to 555 litres.
Renault Scénic XMOD will be revealed in a world premiere on March 5, 2013 at the Geneva Auto Show and available for test drives shortly after.
