The first pictures of the 2014 Audi RS6 Avant just gone official following a spate of leaked images earlier today. Obtained by Russian website Autowp, these images revealing the German automaker’s latest addition to its wagon lineup.
Looking bold and aggressive, the RS6 Avant pushing the design further with a new front bumper; a rear diffuser; matte aluminum accents; LED headlights; a tailgate-mounted spoiler; quattro badging; a honeycomb mesh grille and a subtle diffuser flanked by the familiar elliptical exhaust tips.
All-new for the 2014 Audi RS6 Avant standard tuned air suspension, a tire-pressure control system and three-way adjustable dampers to tune handling characteristics to suit the conditions.
Unfortunately as with most leaks, details are scarce on the RS6 Avant - power will reportedly be provided by a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine, expected to deliver around 550 hp and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft) of torque.
The V8 is believed to be mated to a new S tronic and quattro all-wheel drive - the RS 6 will belt to 100km/h in a properly supercar-like 3.9 seconds and hit a top speed of 304 km/h (189 mph).
Beyond the performance options, the premium styling including matte-finish aluminum or carbon packages, cruise control, three-zone automatic air conditioning and drivers will find themselves surrounded by premium leather upholstery.
