Skoda has revealed its first official pictures of the all-new Octavia after a long road with plenty of scoops of both camouflaged prototypes, spy shots and captured during testing.

The car will make it to the European market next spring with a selection of eight turbocharged petrol and diesel engines. The entry-level engine is a 1.4 TSI produces 120bhp and 147lb ft, a 1.8-liter TSI petrol producing 177hp. The diesels kick off with a 1.6-liter that develops 109hp.

Six-speed manual and seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearboxes will be available, with all-wheel-drive versions in the works.

The new 2013 Skoda Octavia will go on sale next March and prices are likely to start from around £14,000.
