These are the first official photos of the upcoming Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG hot hatch will debut at the Geneva Auto Show next spring, a year after standard versions of the German car maker’s new A-class first appeared in public.
In these fresh pictures, the final production Mercedes A45 AMG wears some black tape on the lower part of the front bumper; standard 18-inch multi spoke wheels shod with 235/40 profile Dunlop Sport Maxx tyres; monikers; grille wings; rear diffuser and the side skirts.
As you would expect, the Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG has been lowered by around 25mm, the chassis has been revised, beefier brakes, wider track, anti-roll bar tuning and new steering system.
While a previous report was indicating that the Mercedes A45 AMG tuned 4-cylinder 2.0-liter turbo engine that produces 330 hp (335PS) and over 295lb ft (400Nm) of peak torque, AMG's engineers have managed to squeeze 350 horsepower and 332 lb-ft (450Nm).
Mercedes' AMG SPEEDSHIFT DCT seven-speed dual clutch sports transmission will send power to all four-wheels. Mercedes-Benz officials suggest the A45 AMG will reach 62 mph (100 km/h) need 5.1 seconds with a limited top speed of 155mph.
When the Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG goes on sale next summer, the car will carry a base price of about £36,000 ($58,000) with an optional performance package set to add a further £3000.
