2013 Acura ILX Endurance Racer

Making their world premiere today at the 2012 SEMA Auto Show are two modified versions of its new ILX entry-luxury sedan: Acura ILX Street Build and Acura ILX Endurance Racer.

2013 Acura ILX Street Build built by Evasive Motorsports to demonstrate the customization possibilities for enthusiasts. Outside, the ILX raids Acura's parts bin for side moldings and some stickers; a front underbody spoiler; 19-inch Volk G25 wheels with 235/35ZR-19 Pirelli P Zero tires; a rear underbody spoiler; a deck lid spoiler and side skirts.

Under the bonnet CT Engineering supercharger kit, air intakes, Civic-based model is an upgraded 2.4-liter gasoline unit that cranks output up to 250 horsepower with the help of Honda ta’s FlashPro ECU tune.

The second model is the 2013 Acura ILX Endurance Racer developed and built by Team Honda Research-West, a group composed primarily of Honda R&D engineers who work after-hours on track cars.

The Acura ILX Endurance Racer will make its competition debut at next month's 25 Hours of Thunderhill endurance race, and heavily modified to meet NASA US Touring Car regulations.
