Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Edition 507

This is the Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Edition 507 gets a big power hike as part of a host of changes over the standard car.

As its name suggests, the car comes packing a 507 horsepower, delivered at 6800 rpm and features a number of upgrades to the C63 AMG’s 6.2-litre V8 engine. The “Edition 507" 56 horsepower more than the standard model and 26 more than cars fitted with the AMG Development Package.

Mercedes-Benz claims a 0-to-60-mph time of 4.1 seconds and a top speed electronically limited to 174 mph. Fuel consumption likely will remain identical to the standard C63's EPA estimates of 13 mpg in the city and 19 highway.

The car also receives the aluminum hood from the C63 AMG Black Series, along with 19-inch light alloy wheels, exterior mirror housings, a gloss black finish for the spoilers, dual heat extractors, grille and daytime running light surrounds.

Buyers will also have the choice of three equipment packages for the interior, and all include Alcantara trim on the seats, contrasting stitching, where an Edition 507 badge resides, the gauge cluster features red accents, doors and steering wheel.

AMG also offers a number of extra options to choose from, including a composite braking system; a locking rear differential and carbon fibre interior trim.

Prices and specs are yet to be confirmed, but will be announced following the car's world debut at the 2013 Geneva Auto Show next month.
