Hot on the heels of the refreshed E-class saloon - Mercedes-Benz has revealed a facelifted version of the Coupé and Cabriolet.
Like the luxurious sedan, the 2014 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe and Cabriolet also get new front bumpers with much more pronounced air intakes and one-piece headlight assembly with LED daytime running lights.
Inside, the refreshed model gains a few material upgrades to go along with a three-tube instrument binnacle; new trim and leather options; chrome console switches; analogue clock and redesigned air vents.
Both models are offered with the familiar turbo 2.0-liter in the E350 and E550. As with their predecessors, gearbox choices include a 6-speed manual and a revised seven-speed automatic.
The new 'BlueDIRECT' four-pot uses spray-guided direct fuel injection, and what Mercedes calls "the world's first use of the stratified lean burn process, in combination with exhaust-gas turbocharging and external high-pressure exhaust gas recirculation."
The Coupé and Cabriolet models come with a comprehensive range of high-quality equipment as standard, including Audio 20 CD Radio, the stereo multi-purpose camera and the COMAND Online multimedia system with 17.8 cm high-resolution colour display.
As standard, the Coupé and Cabriolet are fitted with the AGILITY CONTROL suspension with selective damping system; Brake Assist Plus with Junction Assist and the electromechanical Direct-Steer system.
Mercedes-Benz is yet to confirm pricing for the new E-Class Coupé and Cabriolet but prices will also be confirmed closer to the on-sale date.
