Ferrari Enzo V12 & KERS

The new 2013 Ferrari Enzo will be powered by a V12 engine with a version of the Kinetic Energy Recovery System (KERS), which is codenamed F150.

According to a report, the car will be powered by an engine evolved from the 730 bhp 6.3-litre V12 along with 120 additional ponies from the HY-KERS system.

This means a combined power output of more than 920 horsepower, and the electric powertrain would lop 10% off the 0-124 mph time estimated to be just over eight seconds.

The new Ferrari Enzo will be no taller than the Ferrari 458 Italia, while the car well down from the just-over 3,000 lbs of weight and size reduction.

Production will probably be at least as limited as the original Enzo, and the car is expected to be revealed at next year’s Shanghai Motor Show.
