Holman & Moody have announced plans to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Tour de France Automobile Rally win with a special 2014 Ford Mustang dressed in the traditional Alan Mann Racing gold and red livery.
Built by American tuning specialist and race car builder Holman & Moody, the model features similar modifications and the same bright red hue that adorned the 1964 Mustangs.
“Components have been carefully selected to make the 50th Anniversary TdF Mustang a spirited competitor worthy of carrying the Holman & Moody name. A unique blend of Ford Racing Performance Parts and Holman & Moody components make this Mustang a true performer and a fitting tribute to the 1964 race winners,” said President of Holman & Moody, Inc. Lee Holman.
The 2014 Holman & Moody TdF cars will wear bright red paint, a K&N / Ford Racing air filter, a larger radiator, a Ford Racing X-pipe, tubular headers and unique 19-inch wheels.
Underneath, the Holman & Moody TdF Mustang gets adjustable suspension with hmPerformance fully adjustable front, Track Pack electronics, progressive lowering springs, stainless steel tubular headers and SVT adjustable struts/shocks.
Holman & Moody will produce just 500 examples to ensure the exclusivity and collectability of each. Price details yet to be revealed, but orders will be taken starting in early 2013, with production beginning next spring.
