Unveiled at the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show, Acura has officially taken the wraps off its all-new flagship sedan, the 2014 Acura RLX.
Identical outside to the RLX concept car teasing us earlier this year, the new Acura RLX earing a wide, sleek appearance, the car features standard 18-inch wheels designed to reduce tire noise.
Like a true flagship sedan, the 2014 Acura RLX should also roll with more vigor and improved mpg. A new direct-injected 3.5-liter V-6 put out 310 horsepower and 272 lb-ft of torque, while the Sport Hybrid Super Handling AWD system sends 370 hp to all four wheels.
The engine will be paired with a six-speed automatic transmission, capable of returning a fuel economy of 20/31 mpg city/highway and 24 mpg combined.
The overall interior looks clean and uncluttered, and the dual cowl-style dashboard is covered in far more premium materials. The cabin has leather and wood trim, an audio system by Krell with 14 speakers, a USB-port, forward collision warning, camera monitoring systems, two LCD screens, Milano leather seats and Acura Link infotainment system.
Pricing has yet to be released but the front-wheel-drive 2014 Acura RLX should hit dealers early next year.
