A new promotional video of the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Electric Drive released today offers the first on-road look at the Ascari race track in Malaga, Spain. It's price carries quite the shock as well.
Dressed in an exclusive blue hue, the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG will go on sale next year and can expect delivery in July 2013. German pricing starts at €416,500 (including 19% VAT), making it the most expensive vehicle Mercedes-Benz.
The Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Electric Drive has four electric motors that produce a combined 552kW and 1000 Nm of torque. This enables the car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in just 3.9 seconds, hit a top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph).
With 60 kWh of battery storage, the car can travel about 155 miles on a charge and can be recharged in approximately three hours. The new SLS AMG Electric Drive will only be offered in limited numbers, and no details released on the U.S. market.
