Thanks to a series of enhancements about the engine and transmission, the 2013 Opel Corsa Ecoflex will become the most economical after a series of tweaks has cut its already impressive fuel consumption.
"In just five years, from the first Corsa ecoFLEX to today, we have been able to reduce consumption and CO2 emissions by 26%,while at the same time increasing performance by over 26%," said engineering chief Mike Ableson.
The latest generation of the 2013 Opel Corsa Ecoflex three-door returns a fuel economy of 3.3lt/100km or 85.6 miles out of every gallon of diesel, with corresponding CO2 emissions of 88g/km. That's a 2.4mpg and a 6g/km improvement over the 2011 model.
The car has also been equipped with a retuned suspension, the turbodiesel is equipped with a variable displacement oil pump, a revised ECU and engineered manual transmission with new gears 185/65 R15 low-rolling-resistance tyres.
Despite the changes, the 2013 Opel Corsa Ecoflex still equipped a 1.3-liter oil burner engine that produces 95 HP (95PS) and 190 Nm (140 lb-ft) of torque available between 1,750 and 3,250rpm. This enables the three-door model to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 12.3 seconds and a top speed of 177km/h (110mph).
