First introduced for the 2009 model year, the 2013 Acura ZDX promising will receive numerous styling and technology enhancements for the upcoming model year, Acura announced that this will be its final model year.
Originally conceived as a sporty crossover like the 2013 Acura RDX, but this car actually was only sold just 642 of them in the first nine months of 2012. Acura says it is killing off the slow-selling ZDX to revamp it in order to generate customer interest and focus on its volume products.
The 2013 Acura ZDX sports a new front grille design; dark wheel accents; integrated parking sensors; restyled wheels and power-folding auto-dimming side mirrors.
Inside the new Acura ZDX overall design remains largely unchanged, but the model comes nicely equipped with eight-inch display with a voice-recognition capable navigation system; a 435-watt sound system; Bluetooth connectivity; heated front seat; keyless entry and new trim finish.
The 2013 Acura ZDX also comes with Forward Collision Warning (FCW) and Lane Departure Warning (LDW) systems. The car will arrive on dealer lots on October 19 with an MSRP of $50,920.
“Moving forward, we will continue to advance the Acura lineup with a focus on new core models, like the recently redesigned RDX and the upcoming all-new RLX flagship sedan, that provide the ideal balance of performance and fuel efficiency that is right for each product and a driving experience that is dynamic and emotional,” said Jeff Conrad, vice president and general manager of Honda’s Acura division.
