The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) is investigating the 2011 Hyundai Santa Fe SUV for a fastener became loose in the steering shaft, resulting in a complete loss of steering capability.
The issue is a fastener in the lower steering column, causing the steering shaft to come part and drivers to lose control of the vehicle. If this happens, the driver will lose all steering control.
