2013 MINI Paceman

Following a leak last week, the 2013 MINI Paceman has fully revealed ahead debut at the Paris. Known as the MINI Paceman, essentially a coupe version of the Countryman crossover.

Design wise, the MINI Paceman looks like a sleeker Countryman with two-doors but it has a 31mm lower roof height and sits 10mn closer to the ground compared to the Countryman. Its smaller dimensions equate to a 44-pound lighter curb weight, which should help boost performance very slightly.

The styling up to the A-pillar is identical to the five-door model, but the 2013 MINI Paceman has a sportier downward-sloping roofline, roof can be specified in body color, rear lights in horizontal arrangement, muscular flared wheel arches, sports seats up front and 16-inch alloys.

When it debuts in Europe, the 2013 MINI Paceman will be offered with a 1.6-liter gasoline mill that delivers either 122 or 184 horsepower, fuel economy of 6.0lt/100km (47.1mpg UK or 39.2mpg US) with CO2 emissions of 140 g/km. Diesel options with a 1.6-litre 110hp (112PS) turbocharged engine and a 0-62mph (100km/h) time of 10.8 seconds.

After debuting at the 2013 Paris Auto Show, the 2013 MINI Paceman will go on sale in Britain on March 15 with price of £18,970 (about $30,700).
