The all-new 2013 KIA Carens was revealed today on the 2012 Paris Auto Show floor, one of the most competitive market segments in Europe. The new KIA Carens compact MPV is much more stylish than its predecessor and it replaces the outgoing KIA Rondo.
Looking significantly improved, the 2013 KIA Carens gets a new prominent grille, LED-infused headlights and a sloping roof line. Overall the KIA Carens is a smaller vehicle, a longer wheelbase and larger wheels, the cab-forward design ensures generous interior space.
In Europe, the 2013 Kia Carens is equipped three different engines. Starting with a 1.6-liter that makes 135 hp and 165 Nm (122 lb-ft) of torque. The 2.0-liter unit produces 177 hp and 211 Nm (156 lb-ft) of torque. Finally a diesel option that makes 115 hp which has outputs of 115 PS (85 kW) and 260 Nm (156 lb-ft) of torque.
