2013 Suzuki Grand Vitara

The North American, the 2013 Suzuki Grand Vitara will get some of the updates of the domestic market, which is called Escudo in Japan.

On the outside modestly updated, the 2013 Suzuki Grand Vitara facelift brings a newly designed front grille; tinted headlights; new alloy wheel styles; a tweaked bumper; the spare tire has been jettisoned from the tailgate and moved the license plate holder.

The changes to the interior of the 2013 Suzuki Escudo are the new materials and colors for the seats and  the cabin appears largely untouched.

In Japan, the 2013 Suzuki Grand Vitara is powered by a 2.4-liter engine that produces 164 horsepower and 225 Nm (166 lb-ft) of torque. In addition, Japanese customers will also get a special X-Adventure edition of the Escudo that comes in packages features like a sunroof; a chrome front grille; 18-inch wheels; a rear spoiler; stability control and additional standard equipment such as interior with contrasting red stitching, steering wheel and gearshift.

An official announcement about the 2013 Suzuki Grand Vitara will be made later this month and the changes will be applied on the models sold in markets outside of Japan.
