2014 Subaru Forester priced at $21,995

The new 2014 Subaru Forester has a starting price of $21,995, which will be offered in four different trim lines including Premium, Limited and top-line Touring versions.

Two engine choices are available for the Forester, these include a naturally-aspirated 2.5-liter unit delivering 170-horses that begins at $21,995 fitted with a 6-speed manual gearbox.

The turbocharged Subaru Forester 2.0XT, which will be offered in the Premium and Touring versions, will list from $28,820. The beefier 2.0-liter, inline-four turbocharged engine that develops 250 hp (186 kW) and 258 lb-ft (349 Nm) of torque.

All-new features for 2014 include Subaru's new Starlink infotainment system, including rear vision camera, power rear gate with automatic close, color multi-function display, Eyesight driver assistance system, keyless access and start.

2013 Subaru Stella facelift officially revealed

Starting from January 5, the 2013 Subaru Stella will start marketing at Japan market after the launch was introduced in May last year.

External dimensions Subaru Stella facelift is unchanged. The car is 3395 mm long, 1475 mm wide, 1620 mm tall and with a 2455 mm wheelbase. The curb weight is 810 kg (1785 lbs) for the base level and up to 890 kg (1962 lbs) for top specs.

Under the hood, power comes from a 0.66 liter three-cylinder petrol available in naturally-aspirated or turbocharged versions that produces 64 hp at 7200 rev / min. While the second model has the same performance, however, develops at 6000 revolutions per minute.

As standard, the 2013 Subaru Stella facelift comes with the front suspension is MacPherson strut; a rear torsion bar; stop/start system; restyled front fascia; ventilated front discs and custom LED or obstacle detection system.

2014 Subaru Forester live in LA Auto Show

Subaru’s fourth-generation Forester crossover introduced Wednesday at the Los Angeles Auto Show, might not seem to have outstanding looks.

The 2014 Subaru Forester gains an entirely new front end, a rear spoiler, a more aggressive mesh grille, revised fog and headlights, body-colored side mirrors, sleeker tail lamps and 18-inch alloy wheels in place of the standard 17s.

The next-gen Forester gets a significant platform upgrade including 1.4 inches longer, 1.3 inches taller and 0.6 inches wider with a wheelbase that's stretched 0.9 inches.

Inside, Subaru says it has tweaked the cabin for more legroom and cargo room. The dashboard is quite similar to that of the Imprezam, Harmon/Kardon audio and a new gauge cluster.

Power for 2014 Subaru Forester comes from a naturally aspirated 2.5-liter 4-cylinder boxer engine that produces 170hp and 174 lb-ft of torque and a 2.0-liter turbocharged flat-four that produces 250 hp and 258 lb-ft of twist.

Power will be put to all four wheels through the brand's all-wheel drive system, while fuel economy is up across the board, peaking at 24 mpg city and 32 mpg highway for the 2.5 with a CVT, bumps of 4 and 5 mpg.

The new Forester will go on sale in the United States early next year along with price start at $21,000 to $30,000 when it goes on sale.

2014 Subaru Forester debut at Los Angeles Auto Show

Auto Review Blog has provided photographs of the Subaru Forester leaked last month in the hope the car will go to the U.S. market. Debuting at the Los Angeles auto show late in November, the 2014 Subaru Forester will probably go on sale early next year.

Included with these photos is an outline of what will power the new Subaru Forester, a 2.5-liter naturally aspirated four-cylinder boxer engine with 170 hp and 174 lb-ft of torque and a 2.0-liter direct-injection turbocharged four-cylinder engine that produces 250 hp (up from 224 hp) and 258 lb-ft of torque (up from 226 lb-ft).

The 2014 Subaru Forester will debut a new six-speed manual transmission and a Lineartronic continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT), and the CVT. EPA-rated at 21/27 mpg city/highway and 19/24 mpg with the 2.0-liter direct-injection.

The new Subaru wheelbase increases just 0.9 inches (to 103.9 inches), 70.7 inches (1,795mm or +15mm) tall and 66.7 inches (1,695mm or +20mm) wide. Of note an update of the grille, more prominent black lower fascia cladding,  more strongly sculpted flanks, tauter body lines and 18-inch alloys.

Inside, the 2014 Subaru Forester boasts that there's more rear-seat legroom and an enlarged cargo area along with new-generation infotainment features, harman/kardon premium audio amplifier, a navigation system and rear view camera.

The new Subaru Forester will go on sale in Japan on November 13, expect more information to come later this month in here.

Subaru BRZ built by PBMS

The Japanese based automaker Subaru and PBMS (Possum Bourne Motorsport) has unveiled a range of performance upgrades for the BRZ that is being showcased at the AIMS show in Sydney.

The Subaru BRZ was developed for those customers who are seeking for a really good track workout. There are three track-ready packages prepared for the model include: entry-level package, upscale package and performance package.

The highlight of the new range is a sporty body kit consisting of a front spoiler, carbon fiber lightweight components, Sabelt six-point harnesses, Enkei 18 x 8.0 alloys and Pirelli P-Zero Trofeo R motorsport tires.

Designed for club-level competition, the PBMS Subaru BRZ features upgrades such as Cusco adjustable suspension, Recaro winged-HANS seats, AP brakes with an STI handbrake, gearbox enhancements and engine, fuel system modifications.

PBMS did not disclose the price of these modifications, waiting for more from the 2012 Sydney Auto Show.

Last month, the 2014 Subaru Forester has been we shared scans from the car's Japanese Domestic Market (JDM) brochure, now is the actual image of the compact crossover hit the net.

The new 2014 Subaru Forester is 35mm longer at 4,595mm (180,9 inches), 795mm or 70.7 inches tall (+15mm) and 20mm wider at 1,695mm (66.7 inches). It also rides on a longer wheelbase at 2,640mm or 103.9 inches (has also been extended by 25mm) to improve space for passengers.

The Subaru Forester may be built on a stretched version of the chassis that underpins the new Subaru Impreza. The fourth-generation Subaru Forester gains an entirely new front end, station wagon gains some new styling cues, heavily sculpted door sills, new door mounted mirrors and a smaller quarter window at the A-pillar's base.

The previously mentioned brochure gave [Auto Reviews] a grainy glimpse at the 2014 Subaru Forester interior with a color LCD screen that may be part of a new infotainment system. A new gauge cluster is also part of the package, sandwiched between the climate-control knobs and it looks pretty much the same as the Subaru Impreza.

The new 2014 Subaru Forester will be available in Japan with a choice of two gasoline engines. The first is a 2.0-liter unit that produce 146 hp (148PS) that's connected through a 6-speed stick shift or a CVT. Followed by a 2.0-liter twin-scroll turbocharged powerplant rated at 276 hp (205 kW) that's connected via exclusively to a CVT.

Japan will be the first country to get the new 2014 Subaru Forester starting in mid to late November. It should arrive in the US and Europe next year as a 2014 model.

The fourth-generation 2014 Subaru Forester gains an entirely new front end,  smaller quarter window at the A-pillar's base, door mounted mirrors, more sculpted hatch and new lights at both ends.

The new 2013 Forester is 35mm longer at 4,595mm (180,9 inches), 795mm or 70.7 inches tall (+15mm) and 20mm wider at 1,695mm (66.7 inches). The wheelbase is also longer at 2,640mm or 103.9 inches (has also been extended by 25mm) to improve space for passengers.
