Volkswagen 500HP Super Beetle live in SEMA
Volkswagen unveiled a plethora of aftermarket models at the 2012 SEMA auto show, the most extreme of the bunch is VW Super Beetle and its 500 horsepower turbo four-cylinder engine. The engine is mated to a manual transmission.
Next year will mark the 75 th anniversary for the iconic Beetle nameplate, and turning it into the ultra-high-performance VWvortex Super Beetle.
To handle that kind of power, the stock fuel system was upgraded, high-flow cylinder head, an ECU upgrade, high-strength internals, intake manifold and a high-performance intercooler.
The Volkswagen Super Beetle cosmetically is relatively modest, with Recaro sports seats, 19-inch wheels, an aero package, more aggressive bumpers and aggressive bumpers from Japanese aftermarket tuner Newing.

Acura ILX Street Build and Endurance Racer live in SEMA
Making their world premiere today at the 2012 SEMA Auto Show are two modified versions of its new ILX entry-luxury sedan: Acura ILX Street Build and Acura ILX Endurance Racer.
2013 Acura ILX Street Build built by Evasive Motorsports to demonstrate the customization possibilities for enthusiasts. Outside, the ILX raids Acura's parts bin for side moldings and some stickers; a front underbody spoiler; 19-inch Volk G25 wheels with 235/35ZR-19 Pirelli P Zero tires; a rear underbody spoiler; a deck lid spoiler and side skirts.
Under the bonnet CT Engineering supercharger kit, air intakes, Civic-based model is an upgraded 2.4-liter gasoline unit that cranks output up to 250 horsepower with the help of Honda ta’s FlashPro ECU tune.
The second model is the 2013 Acura ILX Endurance Racer developed and built by Team Honda Research-West, a group composed primarily of Honda R&D engineers who work after-hours on track cars.
The Acura ILX Endurance Racer will make its competition debut at next month's 25 Hours of Thunderhill endurance race, and heavily modified to meet NASA US Touring Car regulations.

2013 Hyundai Veloster RE:MIX live in SEMA
Along with a slew of wild tuner car concepts, the 2013 Hyundai Veloster RE:MIX joins several of the Korean automakers other concepts was officially launched in SEMA Show.
This special edition brings a sportier exterior look with a graphic package is a dealer-installed option, a chrome grille, 18-inch Dark Alloy Wheels with optional 215/40/ZR18 Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires, rear LED taillights and projector headlights with LED accents.
In addition, the Hyundai Veloster RE will be available exclusively with this paint job and is inspired from the RE:MIX Lab program, a national tour “celebrating creativity in music, art, fashion, technology, gaming, culture and design”.
Inside the Hyundai Veloster RE:MIX upgrades include a leather steering wheel, keyless access with a push-button ignition, bespoke floor, leather steering wheel and shift knob and a 450W Dimension sound system with an eight-inch subwoofer.
Details on the 2013 Hyundai Veloster RE:MIX haven't yet been released, but the car scheduled to go into production and will arrive this December. Manual transmission versions start at $19,900, while the automatic version bumping the cost of entry to $21,150.

Honda Supercharged CR-Z Concept live in SEMA
Honda Performance Development (HPD) brings a higher performance version of its CR-Z sport hybrid. Honda states that this concept is only an "exploration" of the performance potential of the CR-Z Supercharged.
Visual changes include a sport exhaust, Honda Genuine Accessory front and rear spoilers, 19-inch HFP wheels, an HPD rear diffuser and HFP badging.
HPD has upgraded the supercharged CR-Z with a sport exhaust, HPD sport dampers, sport-tuned suspension, bigger brakes and high-performance tires.
The Honda Supercharged CR-Z concept makes 185 hp and 169 lb-ft of torque, break the 10-second barrier for the 0-60 mph run. There is little likelihood of Honda actually putting the HPD Supercharged CR-Z Concept into production, but we'd vote that they just break down and build the damn thing.

Fiat 500 Cafe Racer debut SEMA
Fiat has just released a new teaser video of their Cafe Racer, but unlike almost all other car makers at the SEMA auto show. The Fiat 500 Cafe Racer is under wraps until the very last second.
The clip doesn't reveal much about the car, but the Cafe Racer is describe certain types of motorcycles that have been modified to reduce weight and improve performance.
The Fiat 500 Cafe Racer will have a low-profile feel, the door handles have been removed, a lowered suspension, the mechanical are all tweaked, side-exiting exhaust and lightweight Lexan windows.

2013 Chevrolet Camaro Hot Wheels Edition debut SEMA
The production model follows last year's concept and the 2013 Chevrolet Camaro Hot Wheels will make its debut at this week's SEMA Auto Show in Las Vegas to be developed will not only be sold as a miniature toy, but also as a real car.
“Millions of us grew up playing with Hot Wheels,” said Chris Perry, vice president of Chevrolet marketing. “Offering a special production model of the Camaro Hot Wheels is an opportunity to bring those memories to life, for kids of all ages.”
The Chevrolet Camaro Hot Wheels is designed after the original Hot Wheels Camaro that was one of the first 16 original Hot Wheels toys in 1968. It will be offered as a $6,995 upgrade on the 2013 Camaro.
The 2013 Chevrolet Camaro Hot Wheels begins with unique black 21-inch wheels with red outline stripe, tail-light surrounds get some matte black touches, a ZL1 rear spoiler and Hot Wheels grille. Red-ringed 21-inch wheels with black accents pay homage to the 1/64-scale models.
On the inside, the Chevrolet Camaro Hot Wheels gets a black leather-trimmed interior accented with red as well as on the door panels and on the door sill plates. The instrument panel and door inserts are black, steering wheel controls, Hot Wheels Edition sill plates, premium sound system and Chevrolet MyLink touch screen infotainment system.
No changes have been made to the engines, the 2013 Chevrolet Camaro is equipped a 3.6-liter LFX V-6 engine rated at 323 HP with 2LT trim and 2SS trim gets a 400 HP 6.2-liter L99 V-8. Dual-mode exhaust is available on both six-cylinder cars with buyers of the manual 2SS trim while 2LT model with either transmission.

2013 Lexus GS 350 F Sport supercharged debuts SEMA
Lexus has released plans to introduce a supercharged GS 350 F Sport at the 2012 SEMA Auto Show and the 2012 edition of the aftermarket fest in Las Vegas.
Looking tastefully restrained, the 2013 Lexus GS 350 F Sport features a rear lip spoiler, side skirt set, WALD International body kit with custom 22-inch wheels in Yokohama S.Drive tires size 255/30-20 front and 275/30-20 rear.
Power is provided by a 3.5-liter V6 engine, which in naturally aspirated guise, delivers 306 HP and 375Nm of torque. The Lexus GS 350 F Sport will be outfitted with a RSR Super i coilover system, an A'PEXi CG SPL custom supercharger kit and a PTS Joe Z Series True Dual Header-Back exhaust system.

Seven custom Scion FR-S to debut SEMA
Scion has prepared three custom versions of the FR-S for the year's edition, getting ready to create a huge splash at this year's Las Vegas event that kicks off on October 30.
The automaker did not go into specifics or official names of the projects were revealed, but it wanted to give us a quick glimpse at the renders for the Scion FR-S. The seven projects that were unveiled ranged from mild to wild, with unique exterior finishes, body kits and wheels.
We're keen to find out about the power upgrade packages they might have prepared for the Scion FR-S, comes from a 2.0 liter naturally-aspirated 4-cylinder makes 200-hp at 7,000 rpm with a maximum torque of 151 lb-ft at 6,600 rpm.

Three custom Toyota Avalon to debut SEMA
Toyota has announced plans to introduce three customized Avalons at the 2012 SEMA Auto Show could serve as inspiration. Interestingly, one of the 2013 Toyota Avalon tuned version was also developed by Toyota Racing Development (TRD).
The first model is the 2013 Toyota Avalon TRD Edition developed by the Toyota Racing Development (TRD). Using the 3.5-liter V6 gasoline-powered Avalon, but it gets a nice boost courtesy of a TRD supercharger system. A new suspension lowers ride height by an inch, 19-inch alloy wheels with Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires and stiffer rear subframe bushings. The car is finished in a burgundy shade and features tinted taillights with clear lenses, a color-keyed grille and dual exhaust with polished mufflers.
The second vehicle, dubbed the 2013 Toyota Avalon HV Edition uses much of the same equipment from TRD as the previously mentioned car. Avalon HV also gets the same 19-inch rims in 225/40R19 Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires (with a different rim design) and upgraded brake system. The exterior of the car sports a bright white primary and electric blue accent colors, a color-keyed custom grille, hybrid-blue headlights.
Finally, the DUB Magazine Avalon has a Brilliant Black exterior with a custom body kit, big 22-inch TIS wheels with a matte black finish wrapped in ultra-low-profile Pirelli tires, lowered suspension and a custom mesh grille with a chrome surround up front. The interior gets suede accents on the console, door panels and headliner. Other modifications include a higher-end audio system from JBL with three subwoofers in the trunk.

2013 Chevy Sonic Dusk ahead of SEMA
The SEMA Auto Show in Las Vegas has become a place to see some of the most outrageous concept, can say is crap car exhibition. Today, Chevrolet has lifted the veil off of the production-bound Sonic Dusk, giving buyers a choice for a more sophisticated vehicle in a small size.
The 2013 Chevy Sonic Dusk will come exclusively in a Ashen Grey hue, a body kit, an 18-inch aluminum wheels finished in Pearl Nickel, fog lamps and rear license plate trim also have a matte appearance.
Inside, black leather seats feature Mojave tan inserts that match the seat stitching, a motif that is continued on the dash and on the door panels and MyLink infotainment system comes standard.
“The reaction to the Sonic Dusk concept last year was overwhelmingly positive and proved customers are interested in a more-refined subcompact. We're moving quickly to bring Sonic Dusk to Chevrolet showrooms," said the automaker in a statement.
Like the 2013 Chevrolet Sonic RS (price at $20,995), the 2013 Chevy Sonic Dusk is powered by the same turbocharged 1.4-liter Ecotec four-banger that makes 138 HP and 148 lb-ft, with the choice of either six-speed manual or automatic transmissions.

Fisker Karma launch at the 2012 SEMA
Even Fisker Karma cannot resist the lure of the 2012 SEMA aftermarket show, the company will show its sleek sedan with new looks and a new oil partner.
Fisker said that the "3M" Karma will be applied to the model and changed daily during Sema to help highlight it. Fisker says the film is backed by a factory warranty (when it's installed at a Fisker dealership).
The first design is called Matte White with Gloss Blue stripes pay homage to classic American racing colors, classic is done up in Hot Rod red to honor the American custom-car scene, “October Sun” celebrates the fall with Gloss Burnt Orange and “Riverside” which pays homage to American racing tradition.
A set of 22-inch alloy wheels finished in PermaStar chrome will also be fitted to the Fisker Karma. The company also said that it will use Mobil 1 "American Icon” for its 2.0-liter range-extending generator, 0W-30 Advanced Fuel Economy motor oil.

Four custom 2013 Ford Mustang to debut SEMA
The 2013 Ford Mustang is no stranger to endless customizations, a sneak preview of the modified that will be making their way to the show floor at SEMA auto show today. The company released renderings of four different Mustangs built by the Ringbrothers, Mothers, DSO Eyewear and Stitchcraft.
Four custom Mustangs will be headed to this year’s in Las Vegas alongside Ford F-Series, the 2013 Ford Escape, the 2013 Ford Fusion and the 2013 Ford Focus ST.
The first is the Ringbrothers Mustang GT has a carbon fiber body kit, clothed in custom silver waterborne paint, big wheels, but also upgraded the suspension. The coupe also features Baer brakes, while a supercharger cranks up supercharged 5.0-liter V8 output.
Likewise, the 2013 Ford Mustang GT built by Mothers, Autosport Dynamics, RTR is equipped with a carbon fiber body kit and aggressive wheels and tires. A track-focused suspension along with an upgraded 5.0-liter V8 engine that produces 650 (485 kW). On the inside, the Mustang wears Sparco seats with custom upholstery – this Mustang is ready to rock.
Followed by 2013 Ford Mustang GT built by DSO Eyewear has a Whipple twin-screw supercharger that enables the 5.0-liter V8 six-speed automatic that produces 750 bhp (559 kW). There's a 3dCarbon body kit to give the car a more aggressive stance, Brembo brakes, an Eibach suspension, a bespoke interior with a potent Rockford audio system round out the modifications.
Finally is 2013 Ford Mustang V6 Convertible built by Stitchcraft has a 3dCarbon body kit and custom paint scheme. On the performance end, a Hotchkis coil-over suspension, Wilwood brakes, nitrous injection and a FlowMaster exhaust.

Ford F-Series trucks with three custom to SEMA
Three customized Ford F-Series trucks will be on the automaker's display at the 2012 SEMA Auto Show alongside the 2013 Ford Fusion, the 2013 Ford Focus ST, and the 2013 Ford Escape.
The first one is a 2013 Ford F-150 FX2 Truckin Magazine is coated in gray paint with light gray Shelby stripes running from bumper to bumper. The Ford F-150 has been lowered to improve handling while gets better brakes and fitted a handsome set of wheels and tires. The truck houses a V6 3.5-liter EcoBoost engine.
The next is the 2013 Ford F-150 FX2 Sport Super Cab by K-Daddyz Kustomz, which goes for a more old-school hot-rod look. The F-150 FX2 features bright red paint and rides on 24-inch alloy wheels. The 5.0-liter V8 engine gets a supercharger bolted to it, while inside it features a Rockford Fosgate sound system.
We end with the 2012 Ford F-250 Super Duty XLT Crew Cab by Kelderman Air Suspension Systems is painted black with electric green accents on the bumper. Hulking over the other truck the Ford F-250 is lifted eight to 10 inches via an all-new adjustable air suspension and is powered by a 6.7-liter PowerStroke V8 turbodiesel.

2013 Chevrolet Spark with four customized versions for SEMA
The 2013 Chevrolet Spark will be featured at the 2012 SEMA Auto Show in Las Vegas later this month in four very different forms with Sparks, Sonics, and a Cruze to the strip to fly the General's flag.
The bright red Spark Z-Spec Concept has been fitted with a variety of dealer-offered accessories that are either already available through Chevrolet's accessories department. On the outside, the 2013 Chevrolet Spark Z-Spec concept wears the factory available Salsa Red paint, Z-spec ground effects, headlight trim, a unique grille, 15-inch split spoke wheels and rear diffuser finished Dark Argent. Performance front lowering coil over springs and adjustable rear springs plus a Borla exhaust system.
The Pink Spark is, designed to raise awareness for breast cancer and the American Cancer Society. The exterior is finished with Techno Pink paint and adorned with pink-ribbon graphics, Z-spec grille and a body kit. Inside, it gains a pink suede headliner, pink accent piping, pink pillar trim, instrument panel and seat piping.
Next up is the all-black Spark Sinister Concept combines the aesthetics of the rally world with night racing, black and red is clad in a an extensive body kit. The 2013 Chevrolet Spark Sinister includes unique front and rear fascias, big 18-inch Bahia Red wheels are wrapped in Z-rated rubber, a large rear spoiler and unique side.
Finally, the Color Run Spark will serve as the official pace car for the national urban 5K races in which thousands of participants are doused from head to toe in different colors for each kilometer. The Color Run Spark also gets stainless steel pedals, a ground effects kit and grille and white-finished 15-inch wheels.
"For us, in large part, it's about attracting new, young buyers to the Chevrolet brand. Personalization is an important part of their lives - whether it's their computer, their mobile device, iPad, or whatever. Our job is to help them do that," says Jim Campbell, VP of Chevrolet performance vehicles and motorsports.

2013 Ford Escape treatment to debut at SEMA
Ford and Blue Oval are readying a slew of show vehicles for the upcoming SEMA Auto Show in Las Vegas. This year, the 2013 Ford Escape will take center stage for their SUV efforts.
We've already seen previews of the four 2013 2013 Ford Fusion sedans and five 2013 Ford Focus STs coming to the 2012 SEMA, it shows Ford is one of the largest players when it comes to customized vehicles.
The first is the bright-green 2013 Ford Escape SE AWD built by Heide Performance Products, uses a 2.0-liter EcoBoost turbo engine connected through a 6-speed SelectShift automatic transmission. Every eye-catching detail of this concept, rear fascias, bold wheels, suede seating combines and subtly-lowered chassis to the chic.
Next up is the 2013 Ford Escape SE FWD called the VACCAR Urban Escape Adventurer project, finished in grey shade riding on black alloy wheels. Powered by a 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine that produces 240 hp, 6-speed SelectShift automatic transmission.
Hyundai Veloster Alpine headed to SEMA
Hyundai has teamed up with ARK Performance to create a special Veloster 'Alpine' concept that will debut at the 2012 SEMA Auto Show. Hyundai Veloster Alpine is designed for snow sports enthusiasts as much as a twisty canyon road.
First of all, the Hyundai Veloster Alpine is equipped with a 1.6-liter direct-injected four-cylinder engine offers 232 hp and 240 lb-ft of torque. Engine modifications is enhanced with an ARK performance exhaust, Rays Gramlight 57Xtreme wheels, a Nitrous Express Proton Kit and suspension is upgraded with an Air Motion cup-suspension kit.
"This extreme sports coupe concept will appeal to winter sports enthusiasts who love to carve the snow as much as a twisty canyon road," said Ted Lee, owner of Ark Performance Inc., in a statement.
Exterior highlights include a Yakima snowboard rack, pearl white and blue paint job, the hood and deck lip are both made of carbon fiber and smoked lights. Inside, the Hyundai Veloster gets a custom treatment from JPM Coachworks including custom seats, instrument panel, steering wheel, headliner visors, shift knob and armrest.
2013 Ford Focus ST will bring five custom
We already showed you the four custom 2013 Ford Fusion that the Blue Oval company will bring to the upcoming 2012 SEMA Auto Show. Today the automaker has revealed a few images of five tuned the 2013 Ford Focus ST concepts ahead of their unveiling at this month’s tuner expo, in Las Vegas.
2013 Ford Focus ST by Tanner Foust Racing (the red): Created by world record holder X-Games gold medallist Tanner Foust. Performance comes from an air intake, MagnaFlow exhaust, a fully adjustable front and a new front splitter and rear spoiler.
2013 Ford Focus ST by Bojix Design (the orange): The Bojix Focus teams European design influence with American construction. A bold body kit with low side skirts, a bright orange paint along with a clean, coil-over springs are noted performance adds, installed larger brakes and the custom wheels.
2013 Ford Focus ST by M&J Enterprises (Cosworth): The result of a partnership between Ford, M&J, Cosworth LLC and Ford Racing to boost the car's 2.0-liter turbocharged engine by more than 30 percent to 330 hp, while the torque figure is also up by 20 percent. With a focus on function over form, we also notice a bigger rear wing; carbon fiber accents; Cosworth wheels and also a modified suspension.
2013 Ford Focus ST by Galpin Auto Sports (green wheels): The Galpin Auto Focus features big brakes are combined with a set of coilover springs, methanol injection, a roof scoop and a rally-ready body kit with eye-catching green wheels.
2013 Ford Focus ST by Steeda Autosports (black-and-yellow): Promising increased performance, 19-inch custom wheels, a Steeda G-Trac suspension and a Brembo brake upgrade.

Hyundai Veloster Velocity revealed ahead of SEMA
Joining the 2012 SEMA Auto Show will include two custom versions of the Genesis Coupe along with the Hyundai Veloster Velocity. Dubbed the “Velocity”, it represents a the Design and Engineering divisions of Hyundai America Technical Center in Irvine, CA.
The Hyundai Velocity Veloster is a race focused concept, riding on massive 19-inch Kumho Ecsta SPT 275/35R19 high performance summer tires, new rear diffuser, a full-body kit and large rear wing.
“In creating Velocity, we were inspired to take the Veloster's original concept strengths to their fullest expression. Velocity gave our design and engineering teams license to take Veloster far beyond everyday production car limitations,” explained Chris Chapman, head of Hyundai's Irvine, California design center.
The Hyundai Velocity Veloster will be offered with a choice of a 1.6-liter four-cylinder develops 400 hp (298 kW) and 350 lb-ft (474 Nm) of torque. The power gains under the hood are matched by a Brembo brake kit with 4-psiton calipers, a new fuel system, two-piece rotors, a custom intake manifold, Bilstein springs and a heap of Cosworth designed upgrades.
2013 SRT Viper treated by Mopar
One of the projects to be displayed by Mopar at the 2012 SEMA Auto Show is a stunning customized the 2013 SRT Viper. The SRT Viper coming to SEMA is painted a unique metallic yellow with a carbon-fiber cross beam that is 50 percent lighter than the factory version.
The sunny exterior finish is bordered by a carbon fiber aerodynamics package on the underhoo; a carbon-fiber engine cover; a carbon-fiber engine-bay X-brace and special coil springs.
For the interior, the 2013 SRT Viper uses the same color theme but in reverse, six-point safety harnesses for the Sabelt seats, polished chrome door-sill guards, HVAC controls, a bright pedal kit, in the door handles and in the dash logo.
“This is one of our auto shows where we really show the strength of our brand,” Mopar CEO Pietro Gorlier said at a preview event north of Detroit on Friday morning.
2013 Ford Fusion teased before SEMA Auto Show
Ford never misses an opportunity to show off its newest products at the SEMA Auto Show, the new 2013 Ford Fusion will have a huge presence this year. The four Ford Fusion interpretations have been taken care of by Tjin Edition, seeking the perfect blend between performance and luxury.
First up, the Tjin Edition Ford Fusion is the perfect blend between performance and luxury. Outside it gets a reworked front fascia, a custom DuPont Beige paint job, Webasto sunroof, LED headlights, 21-inch wheels and upgraded suspension parts. While inside it gets a Katzkin interior and a complete sound system by Scosche Audio.
For added MRT Performance 2.0L EcoBoost which builds on the already sporty style of the sedan. The car's black paint contrasts with blue mirrors, a pair of hood air vents, a custom Eco-Flow exhaust while balancing style and big blue wheels.
The next 2013 Ford Fusion is based on the 179hp 1.6-liter EcoBoost model, the Ice Nine Group draws inspiration from the V8 Supercar Series. Road-race styling and performance is the focus of the build, fitted the lowered Fusion with sporty black five-spoke wheels, a big-brake kit behind black, a set of aerodynamic enhancements and high-performance brakes.
The last custom Fusion comes from 3dCarbon gives the 2013 Ford Fusion an all-new silhouette with elegance. The Ford Fusion 3dCarbon is based on the most powerful model with the 237hp 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine and AWD.
