Peugeot and Total will showcase the new 208 HYbrid FE (Fun and Efficient) concept at this year's Geneva Auto Show.

Jointly-developed with French oil and gas company Total, providing an enhanced driving experience (0 to 62mph in just 8.0 seconds) and very low CO2 emissions (just 49g/km).

To achieve that they based the project on the 208 1.0-litre VTi 68bhp model that has an EGC gearbox as well as an "electric motor and a battery taken directly from the endurance programs."

The weight reduction will be a major contributor to the performance. In fact, the teams expect to achieve a 200kg (441 lbs) reduction in the weight of the vehicle less than the standard model.

The various stages of this project will be unveiled and can be followed from 5th March 2013.

The Peugeot 208 GTi will be priced from £18,895, which will cost from £18,895 when it goes on sale in March.

Standard equipment on the 208 GTi will include 17-inch alloys, the parking sensors, the LED lights, twin chrome exhaust tailpipes, the digital radio, a GTi-specific front grille and amongst others.

The car is powered by a 1.6-liter engine you’ll find in the Peugeot RCZ, which is aided by a turbocharger to make 200 hp - 20bhp more than the Ford and 203lb ft, 11lb ft less than the Fiesta produces on overboost.

With the turbocharged unit under the bonnet, allow the Peugeot 208 GTi will to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph of 6.8 seconds (0.1 seconds quicker than the cheaper Fiesta ST).

Additional details on the model are limited for the moment and the first cars expected to arrive in May.

After launching the 208 XY last year, the Peugeot 208 Intuitive has been officially announced with an exciting range of new generation technologies. The Peugeot 208 Intuitive is now on sale in the UK with price start at £14,245.

This special edition is based on the 208 Allure and available in 3 or 5 door body styles. The external features include Helium Technical Grey Alloy wheels; Cornering assist front fog lights; LED instrument dial surrounds; Cielo panoramic glass roof with ambient lighting and choice of five colors(Bianca White, Nera Black, Spirit Grey, Virtual Blue, Aluminium, Shark Grey).

The Peugeot 208 Intuitive carries an exciting range including Park Assist; a multifunction colour Touchscreen; Cielo panoramic glass roof and satellite navigation as standard.

Safety equipment includes three rear-point seat belts, six airbags, ABS, electronic brake force distribution, power steering and emergency brake assist.

This innovative hatchback is available with a choice of both petrol and diesel engines, including the e-HDi Stop and Start Technology.

Following a leak yesterday, the new Peugeot 2008 have been released - marks the French firm's entrance into the booming compact crossover market.

The look of the Peugeot 2008 leans heavily on the 208 along with measures 163 inches long and 68 inches wide while the length of the car is 4160mm. This allows it to better the 208's 743 litres of luggage space.

Outside the car is equipped scalpel-sharp headlights and scalloped bonnet are recognisable from the 208; black bumpers and sills and roof rails and 17-inch matt-finish wheels with 'Mud&Snow' tyres.

There won't be the option of four-wheel drive, but the Peugeot 2008 will be front-wheel drive only. Although most engines will be offered with either a manual and an automatic gearbox, but some rumors indicate that the car will be offered through a clever ‘Grip Control’ traction system.

Technical details are still to be revealed, but we can likely expect the 2008 will get the e-HDi Diesel and new 3-cylinder petrol engines. If efficiency is a priority, the 2008 will emit 99g/km of CO2.

The Peugeot 2008 is expected to go on sale locally at the end of October, expected pricing to start at less than £13,000.

The 2013 Peugeot RCZ facelift will go on sale in the UK this January, with prices starting from £21,595.

Most of the updates are visual, with the most notable change being a revised front-end look; matte black roof arches; 18-inch alloys; LED running lights; a host of decal and colour pack.

As well as the more obvious changes to the exterior, the 2013 Peugeot RCZ there's a new leather/Alcantara combination trim available, dual-zone air conditioning, rear parking sensors, Bluetooth and rear parking aid.

Engine options remain unchanged with the 1.6-litre petrol four-cylinder and 2.0-litre turbo diesel offered. The update brings a £385 price increase, while GT cars will cost from £23,995, which is a rise of £435.

The 2013 Peugeot RCZ R ownership a stylish sporty coupe of the French firms, has pulled the wraps off its most powerful car yet at the 2012 Paris Auto Show.

A few weeks ago, the 2013 Peugeot RCZ facelift following a leak is scheduled to make its public. Peugeot said the 2013 RCZ R is currently being developed in partnership with its motorsports division, will be available in showrooms in early 2013.

The 2013 Peugeot RCZ R styling tweaks include a new grille; LED daytime running lights; a revised air intake; revised headlamps and chrome detailing. The package is completed with aero enchantments, wheel designs and decal options and an extra layer of personalisation to the car.

The highlight of the 2013 Peugeot RCZ R is a modified version of the a 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine along with revised suspension and  boasts a 256bhp output.

Following a leak late last night, the 2013 Peugeot RCZ facelift of the French car (and scooter) brand has been revealed with a much-awaited facelift and a new concept. Based on the 308 hatchback, the Peugeot RCZ is scheduled to make its public debut at the 2012 Paris Auto Show.

Notable changes include a new front look with a smaller grille, headlamps have been restyled and the six LED bulbs on the front bumper. Inside, the 2013 Peugeot RCZ there's a lacquered black surround for the gear lever, a 7-inch navigation screen, WIP Com 3D infotainment system and a three-tuner radio with two aerials.

The 2013 Peugeot RCZ is offered with a 1.6-liter four-cylinder THP engine with 156 HP (115 kW) and 176 lb-ft (240 Nm) and a 2.0-liter turbo diesel generating 161hp (163PS) of torque or 200 horsepower and 202 lb-ft. And it's not only powerful, the 2013 Peugeot RCZ claims the turbo engine will deliver CO2 emissions of just 155g/km.
