2014 Nissan Teana introduced in China
Nissan has unveiled the next generation Teana for the Chinese market yesterday of more than 1,000 (!) journalists and dealers from all over the country.
Building on the success of its predecessor and inspired by the new Nissan Altima, the all-new Teana embodies Nissan's command of the D-segment.
Noticeable body changes compared to the Altima are chrome strips on the doors and front fascia, sweptback headlights and wraparound taillights, a prominent grille.
The car also has an infotainment system; redesigned rear view monitor camera; metallic accents and dark wood trim; zero gravity-inspired seats which promise to minimize fatigue on long trips.
It will be offered with Nissan's latest 182 hp 2.5-liter four-cylinder petrol engine that is connected to an Xtronic continuously variable transmission.
“The new Teana is the ambassador of what the Nissan brand stands for: quality, style and innovation that excites," said Nissan Executive Vice President Andy Palmer at Teana's global unveiling ceremony in Guangzhou.

2013 Nissan Altima V8 Supercar live in Australia
The 2013 Nissan Altima V8 Supercar has been released during a special event on Tuesday morning in Melbourne. The Nissan Altima V8 Supercar racer is built on the new series-wide ‘Car Of The Future’ (COTF) control-chassis.
“2013 will be an enormous year for Nissan in many ways, with several new models set to launch next year. One of those will be the all-new Nissan Altima (road car). It will be the first time the Altima nameplate has gone on sale in Australia, and what better way to introduce Altima to Australia than to have it on-track in the V8 Supercars Championship from the start of next season,” said Kelly, according to the Herald Sun.
The 2013 Nissan Altima V8 Supercar was designed and built to meet the “Car of The Future” regulations with the typical stretched Altima headlights, an independent rear suspension, hourglass grille up front, an aggressive lower front fascia, transaxle gearbox and 18-inch wheels.
“The look of the Altima and sound of the VK56DE engine are second-to-none. Once V8 Supercars has homologated the aerodynamic package on the Altima, we will begin our testing to ensure that it drives as fast as it looks and sounds.”
Under the hood it has a production-based the 5.6-liter “VK56VD” engine that powers the Nissan Titan, Armada and Pathfinder, as well as the Infiniti QX and the Australian market 2013 Patrol SUV.
