2014 Mercedes SLS AMG Black Series live in LA Auto Show
The 2014 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Black Series, a designation emblematic of extreme horsepower enhancements has officially landed at the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show.
Mercedes says the car draws its exterior design inspiration from the company's SLS AMG GT3 racecar, all in keeping with its circuit bred lineage.
The car boasts 622 total horsepower, 6.3-liter normally aspirated V-8, the SLS AMG Black Series hits 60 mph from a complete stop in just 3.5 seconds, and reach a 196mph top speed.
As a reminder, the car gets a rear diffuser; flared fenders; tinted headlights along with matte-black alloy wheels include 19-inch in the front - 20-inch in the rear.
Further engine changes centre around the exhaust system, a stiffer suspension, chassis developments wider, enlarged air intakes with carbon-fiber flics.
The 2014 Mercedes SLS AMG Black Series will hit the market next summer, but us expect it to close in on $300,000.

Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Black Series micro-site
Mercedes-Benz has launched an exclusive micro-site for the recently announced SLS AMG Black Series.
After it was unveiled just a few days ago, the 2014 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Black Series providing in-depth details of the extreme gullwing model.
Mercedes-Benz says that on this site, technical details on the SLS AMG Black Series widely published. The car with the best power/weight ratio from all AMG Black Series models, the AMG Ride Control suspension as well as the transmission.
The Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG is coming with a V8 6.3-liter engine with its 631 hp (464 kW) output and a peak torque of 634 Nm (468 lb-ft). The car can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.6 seconds, a top speed of 315 km/h (196 mph).
Highlights of interior include Alcantara black or Alcantara black/red, red contrasting stitching, AMG Performance steering wheel and high-gloss black surrounds for the air vents.

2014 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Black Series arrives
They have revealed the new 2014 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Black Series public debut later this month at the Los Angeles Auto Show.
With suspension and engine upgrades complemented by lighter weight materials, the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG brings more power. As such, it will deliver 622 horsepower and 468 lb-ft with V8 6.2-liter engine, from 0-60 mph in 3.5 seconds, 0.2 of a second quicker than the standard car.
Modifications include a new air intake, engine changes center on the exhaust system, additional pressure tweaks, water cooling, camshafts and improved oil.
Exterior elements include a deeper front spoiler with carbon-fiber splitter, flared fenders, rear and side skirts, black high-gloss wing, a large central duct, the black trim on the headlights and taillights, side mirrors and enlarged air intakes.
Other changes include matte black forged alloy wheels with a 10-spoke design shod with 275/35 and 325/30 Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires.
In addition, the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Black Series is designed to handle curves with 20mm and 24mm wider front. Curb weight is down to 3417 pounds, a good 154 pounds less than the regular SLS AMG GT.
Inside, designers have removed the COMAND interface, the flat-bottomed steering wheel, a carbon center console, a strip of Alcantara, lightweight sports seats (15 kg lighter) and saving more weight.
The 2014 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Black Series hasn't been priced yet, but expect a starting price of more than 200,000 pounds. The first customer deliveries are planned to get underway in June 2013.

Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Electric Drive price $517,200
A new promotional video of the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Electric Drive released today offers the first on-road look at the Ascari race track in Malaga, Spain. It's price carries quite the shock as well.
Dressed in an exclusive blue hue, the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG will go on sale next year and can expect delivery in July 2013. German pricing starts at €416,500 (including 19% VAT), making it the most expensive vehicle Mercedes-Benz.
The Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Electric Drive has four electric motors that produce a combined 552kW and 1000 Nm of torque. This enables the car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in just 3.9 seconds, hit a top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph).
With 60 kWh of battery storage, the car can travel about 155 miles on a charge and can be recharged in approximately three hours. The new SLS AMG Electric Drive will only be offered in limited numbers, and no details released on the U.S. market.

Wearing an exclusive matt paintwork, the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3 45th Anniversary model also a “45 Years of Driving Performance” logo. What's more important is the exposed carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) is used for the doors, rear wings, rear diffuser and front splitter.
The interior is that of a fully functional racing car, Auto Reviews find the steel roll-over cage is finished with the same paint as the car's body. The dashboard sports a matte carbon fiber look, a steering wheel spider in silver and 6-point seat belts.
