2014 Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG revealed ahead Detroit
After announced the 2014 E-Class Coupé and Cabriolet, the company has released the first official picture of the updated 2014 Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG.
Mercedes also confirmed the presentation of the production Mercedes E63 AMG at next week's Detroit Auto Show.
Set to debut at the North American International Auto Show, the 2014 Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG has a redesigned front bumper featuring huge air vents from side to side, an aggressive front fascia, front and rear fenders are both flared.
As one would expect, the car will be available internationally with the 4Matic all-wheel drivetrain for the first time. The model is expected to feature a twin-turbo 5.5-liter V8 engine, power will be cranked up to about 575 horsepower and 600 lb-ft of torque - will push the car to 60 mph in just 3.4 seconds.
2014 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupé & Cabriolet unveiled
Hot on the heels of the refreshed E-class saloon - Mercedes-Benz has revealed a facelifted version of the Coupé and Cabriolet.
Like the luxurious sedan, the 2014 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe and Cabriolet also get new front bumpers with much more pronounced air intakes and one-piece headlight assembly with LED daytime running lights.
Inside, the refreshed model gains a few material upgrades to go along with a three-tube instrument binnacle; new trim and leather options; chrome console switches; analogue clock and redesigned air vents.
Both models are offered with the familiar turbo 2.0-liter in the E350 and E550. As with their predecessors, gearbox choices include a 6-speed manual and a revised seven-speed automatic.
The new 'BlueDIRECT' four-pot uses spray-guided direct fuel injection, and what Mercedes calls "the world's first use of the stratified lean burn process, in combination with exhaust-gas turbocharging and external high-pressure exhaust gas recirculation."
The Coupé and Cabriolet models come with a comprehensive range of high-quality equipment as standard, including Audio 20 CD Radio, the stereo multi-purpose camera and the COMAND Online multimedia system with 17.8 cm high-resolution colour display.
As standard, the Coupé and Cabriolet are fitted with the AGILITY CONTROL suspension with selective damping system; Brake Assist Plus with Junction Assist and the electromechanical Direct-Steer system.
Mercedes-Benz is yet to confirm pricing for the new E-Class Coupé and Cabriolet but prices will also be confirmed closer to the on-sale date.

2014 Mercedes-Benz E-Class facelift officially revealed
First official pictures and details have been released of the 2014 Mercedes-Benz E-Class after batch of leaked images.
When the new model arrives in showrooms, buyers will be able to order it with two different grille designs, one sporty and the other more traditional.
The quad headlamp treatment is gone, and full LED headlamps are optional for the first time. At the front end, the changes are more numerous including more upright grille, front bumper get an entirely new design and refreshed rear fascia.
There are also a new crease line runs from the rear door through to the tail lights, a slightly refreshed rear fascia and LED headlamps will be optional.
Inside, the 2014 Mercedes-Benz E-Class gets subtle updates, including Stereo Multi-Purpose Camera integrated into the windshield, an analog clock on the dash and trapezoidal center stack display.
Among the new safety systems incorporated on the revised E-class is Collision Prevention Assist, paired with algorithms for detecting potential hazards as well as keeping the car in the lane. Also on the list are Distronic Plus with Steering Assist and Brake Assist Plus with Junction Assist.
The E-Class Sedan and Wagon will be available with a choice of either E350 and E550 continue with their existing V6 and V8 engines. A third petrol option will be offered in the production run, while all engines are mated to a revised seven-speed automatic transmission.
The 2014 Mercedes-Benz E-Class is set to get its first public outing at the Detroit Auto Show in January before going on sale in April.

2014 Mercedes-Benz E-Class facelift leaked
A batch of leaked high-resolution images have revealed the new 2014 Mercedes-Benz E-Class ahead of its debut at the 2013 Geneva Auto Show.
The new generation of the 2014 E-Class in line with Mercedes-Benz current design language and gives it a sleeker appearance. That interior with a center console of an Opel after the facelift is much tighter and more mature and better quality.
The revamped E-Class pictured here could be the E63 AMG model include grille is fitted with two thick slats, a new front bumper, new wheel designs, a slightly refreshed rear fascia and new exterior colors.
Unfortunately we don't have any more details on the 2014 Mercedes-Benz E-Class but the car recently received a pair of more fuel-efficient engines.

Mercedes-Benz teases 2014 E-Class
Mercedes-Benz has released a short teaser video for its updated 2014 E-Class lineup before the new model launches at the Detroit auto show in January.
The video focuses primarily on the headlights of the 2014 Mercedes-Benz E-Class that the brand’s adaptive headlights moving and a full LED treatment.
The new headlights will be accompanied by a redrawn front bumper and adaptive high and low beams. While the hood, fascia and grille will all be redesigned. The E-Class will also get redesigned rear doors and new exterior colors will be part of the package.
Mercedes-Benz did not mention when the new E-Class range will bow, but rumors circulating around the media claim that it will not be the L.A. Auto Show later this month.
