The first photo with the 2013 KIA cee'd GT has been officially revealed --- a five-door hot hatch designed to compete against the Volkswagen GTI.

We already know that KIA are planning to launch the 3-door Pro_Cee’d GT which was revealed a few weeks ago and now we have a look at the hatchback version.

Highlights of the cee'd GT model include 18-inch alloy wheels, a plastic mesh grille up front, LED daytime running lights and aggressive bumper design with red accenting.

With the first photo of the new Kia Cee’d GT, we have not seen the same interior upgrades.

Under the hood is a 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that develops 201 hp (150 kW) and 195 lb-ft (265 Nm) which delivers a 0 to 100 km/h sprint time of 7.9 seconds.

A sport-tuned suspension makes the car more responsive to drive along with a six-speed manual gearbox turning the front wheels.

Official pictures and details of the new KIA Pro_cee’d GT has been officially released, a hot hatch aimed at the iconic Volkswagen GTI.

The 2013 KIA Pro_Cee'd GT sports a more aggressive body kit as well as larger front air intakes and unique 18-inch wheels finish off the look. It also boasts LED headlamps and red accents, while the honeycomb grille sports a "GT" logo.

Although for now photos of the cabin are not available, the interior gets Recaro sports seats with red stitching, which is repeated on the steering wheel and door.

Under the hood lies the same turbocharged 1.6-liter four-banger which makes 200 hp and 265 Nm of torque, that powers the Hyundai Veloster Turbo. The Pro_cee'd GT will be available only with a six-speed manual box, while is good for a 0-100 km/h or 0-62 mph time of 7.9 seconds.

Set to go into production in mid-May, the KIA pro_cee'd GT is expected of around €24,000 - €25,000.
