The third generation of the 2013 KIA Carens possibly a revival of the Rondo MPV. It has a low roofline and a long wheelbase, giving it an athletic stance that is not common in Europe's minivan segment.
The 2013 KIA Carens will be available as a five-seater and a seven-seater thanks to its long wheelbase. The vehicle is completely new from the ground up. Inside, the new Carens' interior is lightyear ahead providing stylish and spacious practicality. It features a wide touch-screen to control the infotainment system; a conventional floor-mounted shifter; a digital instrument cluster.
“The new Carens builds on the family-friendly versatility and functionality of its predecessor, and features more athletic and visually dynamic design,” said Hyoung-Keun Lee, Vice Chairman and CEO of KIA.
Engine offerings for the 2013 KIA Carnes include a 1.7-liter turbodiesel unit rated at 115 hp and 188 pound-feet of torque, and a 2.0-liter turbo four with 136 hp and 236 pound-feet of torque on tap.
