2013 Ford Fiesta ST to cost from £16,995

The 2013 Ford Fiesta ST will be available in the UK at a starting price from £16,995 when it goes on sale this April.

That will buy you a Fiesta ST1 comes with 17-inch alloy wheels, ST-style front foglights, cloth-trimmed Recaro sports seats, Ford DAB radio and the SYNC voice-activated connectivity system, which features Bluetooth music streaming.

For an additional 1,000 GBP customers can order the model in the ST-2 trim adds privacy glass, LED headlights, keyless start, part leather seats and climate.

Under the hood it has a 180bhp version of the Ford 1.6-litre EcoBoost engine that develops 178bhp and 177lb/ft of torque driven to the front wheels through a six-speed manual gearbox.

The Ecoboost unit is capable of returning 47.9mpg and emits CO2 at a rate of 138g/km. The new Fiesta ST will rival the new Peugeot 208 GTi and Renaultsport Clio 200 EDC.

2013 Ford Fiesta Van official revealed

The new Ford Fiesta Van was officially introduced in United Kingdom - already available on order, deliveries will start next month.

With its practical 1.0 cubic metre load space as well as a gross payload capability of 485-508 kg, the Fiesta Van has a load length of 1.3 meters.

The new Fiesta Van is a stylish mobile workshop for light duty tools and equipment that makes great business sense,” said Nick Readings, Ford of Europe's commercial vehicle marketing manager.

Engine choices for the Ford Fiesta Van are two Duratorq TDCi diesel engines including: a 1.5-liter with 75 HP (55 kW) and 1.6-liter with 95 HP (70 kW), as well as an 82 PS 1.25 litre Duratec petrol units.

All diesel engines in the new Fiesta Van have CO2 emissions of less than 100 g/km, while ECOnetic features enhanced fuel-saving technologies to deliver best-in-class 87 g/km and 3.3 l/100 km (85.6 mpg).

The ECOnetic Van version comes with a lowered suspension, standard Auto-Start-Stop, aerodynamic rear under-tray, low-rolling resistance tires and wheel trims.

On the exterior, the car features a sharper design inspired by the latest Ford global design language - including laser-cut headlamps incorporating LED technology, the option of 17-inch alloy wheels and power-dome bonnet.

Ford has officially introduced its performance-minded the 2014 Fiesta ST at the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show.

Along with 2014 Ford Fiesta, American buyers are finally enjoying something of a small performance car renaissance.

Powered by a turbocharged four-cylinder engine that's paired with a six-speed manual transmission, the 2014 Ford Fiesta ST 1.6-liter EcoBoost has initially rated at 197 horsepower and 214 pound-feet of torque.

Even with the high-spec engine, peak torque is available at 3500 rpm while the hot hatch will achieve 34 mpg combined in the fuel economy department. The car also gets an electronic Torque Vectoring Control, sports suspension, better brakes and a three-mode stability control system.

The Ford Fiesta ST gets aggressive styling to back up its performance include sportier side skirts, special 17-inch wheels, lower chin spoiler, a rear fascia diffuser and a gaping mesh grille with an ST badge in the corner.

Like the Focus ST, the car is available with MyFord Touch, shift knob, natural voice-recognition technology, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and highly bolstered Recaro sport seats.

Unfortunately, Ford has yet to reveal U.S. pricing for the new Fiesta ST.

Aiming to grow its position in the small car segment, Ford has pulled the sheet on its refreshed 2014 Ford Fiesta sub-compact at the L.A. Auto Show on Wednesday.

Using Ford's turbocharging and direct-injection technology, which now gets optional 1.0-liter three-cylinder EcoBoost turbocharged engine that produces 123-hp and 148 lb-ft of torque.

“Our goal with this Fiesta was to take a car that was already a leader in fuel efficiency, performance, connectivity and personality, and make it even better,” says Mark Fields, Ford president of The Americas.

The 2014 Ford Fiesta gets an upgraded interior with an available MyFord Touch 6 .5-inch LCD sits atop the subcompact 's center stack, simpler Bluetooth pairing and upgraded navigation controls.

The EPA has yet to certify the Ford Fiesta EcoBoost, but is projected to get more than 40 miles per gallon, Ford said.

The 2014 Ford Fiesta will come to the US market in the second half of next year, while the engine has commanded a roughly $1,000 to the price of the vehicle.

Ford confirmed today that its first US model to receive the 1.0-liter three-cylinder EcoBoost engine in the North American-spec 2014 Fiesta sub-compact.

The 2014 Ford Fiesta that goes on sale next year with hoping it will be certified by the EPA as the most fuel-efficient non-hybrid car available in the United States.

“Customers are going to be pleasantly surprised at what the smallest member of the EcoBoost engine family can do,” said Joe Bakaj, Ford vice president of Powertrain Engineering.

Ford projected that the 1.0-liter engine will have a rated output 123 horsepower that generates a peak torque of 148 lb.-ft at just 1,400 rpm. Delivers a combined fuel consumption of 4.3 liters, which is equivalent to 54.7mpg US.

He continued: "Most customers are not going to be thinking about the number of cylinders under the hood when they drive the new 1.0-liter EcoBoost Fiesta. They'll notice an extremely smooth and quiet idle, terrific acceleration accompanied by a sporty sound at high revs, and – most importantly – outstanding fuel economy."

2014 Ford Fiesta facelift

Pricing isn't yet set, but the new Ford Fiesta promises it will be a very affordable option. The US-market 2014 Ford Fiesta is scheduled to make its public debut on November 28 at the Los Angeles Auto Show or in early January at the Detroit Auto Show.

The 2013 Ford Fiesta was revealed today at the 2012 Paris Auto Show. The most noticeable change is a revised hood; a prominent grille; 17-inch alloy wheels draped and LED-infused headlights.

Interior changes are limited, the design remains the same. Include a new center console, Ford’s SYNC infotainment system, MyKey, revised switchgear, Active City Stop and updated upholstery.

As we've previously reported, the 2013 Ford Fiesta is equipped a turbocharged 1.6-litre EcoBoost gasoline engine producing 180hp and 177 lb ft of torque. Can run 0-62mph in 7.0 seconds, which should return best-in-class fuel economy.

2013 Ford Fiesta reveals redesigned

With the first images of the redesigned 2013 Ford Fiesta which is scheduled to debut at the 2012 Paris Motor Show in late September, it received a new front end that is inspired by Ford 's Kinetic design language.

"Fiesta has been one of the world's best-loved small cars across five decades, and the sporty appeal of the last generation Fiesta inspired real passion among global compact car customers, contributing to its status as the world's most successful small car," said Martin Smith, Ford of Europe executive design director.

The most important change for the 2013 Ford Fiesta is the introduction of the 1.0-liter EcoBoost gasoline engine, which should return best-in-class fuel economy. The Ford Fiesta will also be available with the 1.5-liter turbodiesel four-banger that is found in the B-Max compact minivan.

The 2013 Ford Fiesta gains a smaller trapezoidal grille, laser-cut headlamps with DRLs that use LEDs daytime running lights, new bonnet design and a new lighting graphic at the rear.

Another highlight for the 2013 Ford Fiesta is the next generation of Ford's SYNC infotainment system, Active City Stop, and MyKey (a safety feature that allows parents can set a sort of “parental control” and the audio volume when their offspring's driving adventures.).
