Ferrari Enzo V12 & KERS has finally confirmed

Ferrari Enzo V12 & KERS

The new 2013 Ferrari Enzo will be powered by a V12 engine with a version of the Kinetic Energy Recovery System (KERS), which is codenamed F150.

According to a report, the car will be powered by an engine evolved from the 730 bhp 6.3-litre V12 along with 120 additional ponies from the HY-KERS system.

This means a combined power output of more than 920 horsepower, and the electric powertrain would lop 10% off the 0-124 mph time estimated to be just over eight seconds.

The new Ferrari Enzo will be no taller than the Ferrari 458 Italia, while the car well down from the just-over 3,000 lbs of weight and size reduction.

Production will probably be at least as limited as the original Enzo, and the car is expected to be revealed at next year’s Shanghai Motor Show.

Ferrari F70 unveiled at Detroit Auto Show

2013 Ferrari F70

The Ferrari F70 (aka the Enzo) expected public debut is slated for the 2013 Detroit Auto Show in January. Information about the much-anticipated car remain unconfirmed, but the F70 will be manufactured in a very limited number of units.

Maranello has said that the new chassis incorporates four different types of carbon fiber, result is a chassis 20 percent lighter than the original Ferrari Enzo despite a 27 percent increase in torsional rigidity and 22 percent stiffer.

The Ferrari F70 is expected to have a 6.2-liter (6262 cc) V12 engine gasoline sourced from the Ferrari F12 Berlinetta. The car will launch with a combined 920 hp, this may enable the F70 to accelerate from a 0-100 km/h in 2.5 seconds through a seven-speed dual clutch transmission.

Despite that better fuel economy, but the supercar will arrive with a Formula One-derived hybrid system and fuel consumption reduction of up to 40 percent thanks to HY-KERS system.
