Chevrolet Sail Sedan go on sale in India
Chevrolet India has released the first details of the upcoming sedan version of the Sail , which is set to go on sale in India later this year.
Designed to turn heads & win hearts wherever it goes, the 2013 Chevrolet Sail sedan has an evolutionary design with angular headlights; a long bonnet and stubby boot; wraparound taillights and eight-spoke alloy wheels. Looked at from the rear, it gives the impression of being very tail-heavy thanks to the height of the metal, from bumper to bootlid.
Under the hood, two engines will be available: a 1.3-liter engine and the base 1.2-liter petrol. Specifications were not released but previous reports suggested that it would also get a 1.4-liter petrol unit.
The Chevrolet SAIL is engineered with occupant safety at the forefront including Speed sensitive Auto Door Locks, Anti-lock Brake System (ABS), Electronic Brake Force Distribution (EBD), Airbags, Seat Belts with Pre-tensioner, Crumple Zones and Collapsible Steering System.
Interior pictures were not released, but GM says the cleverly designed extras like rear seat armrest and smart storage spaces add to the luxury factor.
