Cadillac XTS W20 Livery Package

Cadillac announced a new W20 livery package for the XTS luxury sedan, which includes elements of the XTS Platinum Edition, is exclusively offered to livery companies through Cadillac's Professional Vehicles program.

“Our customers wanted approachable luxury and enabling technology,” said Gary Kessler, president and CEO of Carey International. “We chose the XTS as the cornerstone of the Carey brand because it represented the perfect combination of power, luxury, technology and sophistication that our customers desire and demand today.”

Loosely based on the range-topping Cadillac XTS Platinum, the W20 Livery Package comes nicely equipped with 19-inch wheels and LED-illuminated exterior door handles.

Fleets can also order the rear seat comfort package that includes heated seats, micro-fiber suede headliner, window sunshades, rear seat comfort package adds heated seats and a power inverter to charge mobile devices.

Carey International, the world’s largest livery company, was one of the first companies to sign on, purchasing 150 new Cadillac XTS W20 Professional Services Sedans.

2014 Cadillac ELR teased before 2013 Detroit Auto Show debut

Cadillac has released the first image of its upcoming 2014 ELR, ahead of its debut at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit.

The ELR is based on the Converj concept unveiled at the Detroit show in 2009. The 2014 Cadillac ELR combines dramatic design with industry-leading extended range electric vehicle technology in a unique luxury coupe.

There's no word on specifications, but the car will use powertrain combines a T-shaped lithium-ion battery pack and a four-cylinder engine-generator.

The teaser photo shows the production ELR will be keeping most of the concept's striking design elements.

GM previously confirmed that the 2014 Cadillac ELR will be built at the company’s Detroit-Hamtramck plant.

General Motors confirmed today that it will build its Cadillac ELR plug-in hybrid luxury coupe at the Detroit-Hamtramck Assembly plant in 2013. GM is investing $35 million to prepare the factory to assemble the new Cadillac ELR.

According to GM North America President Mark Reuss, "The ELR will be in a class by itself, further proof of our commitment to electric vehicles and advanced technology. People will instantly recognize it as a Cadillac by its distinctive, signature look and true-to-concept exterior design."

While the Cadillac ELR is expected to share underpinnings with the Chevrolet Volt, it will likely boast a greater electric-only range and benefit from both higher performance.

The Cadillac ELR is expected to use an updated version of the Volt powertrain and it will run primarily on electricity. On the other hand, a rear wheel-drive layout wit a T-shaped lithium ion battery, an electric drive unit and a four-cylinder engine-generator.

The 2013 Cadillac XTS was officially unveiled at the Los Angeles Auto Show last year, arrives at U.S. dealerships late last spring with a starting price tag of $44,995 (€33,980) (the more flashy 2013 Cadillac ATS about $1000) including destination.

The styling of the 2013 Cadillac XTS is our approach 'Arts & Science' design formula by combining advanced technology and will against cars like the the BMW 5-Series, Mercedes-Benz E-Class and the Audi A6.

On the exterior, the 2013 Cadillac XTS will be offered with three option collections include Luxury, Premium and Platinum. The XTS Platinum model represents the luxury including 20-inch polished aluminum wheels, a chrome and satin-chrome grille finish and vertical taillights.

The unique interior design, a heavy emphasis on technology and the first Caddy to use the company’s new innovative "CUE infotainment system".  All models of the 2013 Cadillac XTS will be equipped the Magnetic Ride Control adaptive suspension system and new short- and long-range radar systems. Featuring a safety alert driver seat; an 8-inch capacitive touch screen display in the center stack; interior special leather upholstery; climate control and a 12.3-inch reconfigurable gauge cluster.

Other technologies available on the 2013 Cadillac XTS include adaptive cruise control; standard 10 air bags; a color Head-up display; front and rear automatic brakes; lane departure warning; rear cross traffic alert and vibrates to alert the driver.

According to Cadillac, the FWD models achieve 17mpg city and 28mpg highway miles per gallon, while the AWD model, 17mpg and 27mpg respectively. The XTS will utilize HiPer Strut front suspension and borrows the Brembo braking from Caddy's V-Series.

The 2013 Cadillac XTS provided by a 3.6-liter V6 (LFX) engine that produces 303 hp (227 kW / 308 PS) and 264 lb-ft (358Nm) of torque, linked to a six-speed automatic transmission with a Haldex all-wheel-drive system.

The 2013 Cadillac ATS is the compact luxury sport sedan, designed to battle the Audi A4 , Mercedes C-Class and BMW 3-Series. The base model will start at $33,990 will be offered with a choice of three engines will be available.

“The ATS enters a vehicle segment this year that’s one of the most competitive in the market, from both a price and performance standpoint,” commented Don Butler, vice president of Cadillac Marketing. “ATS will bring a distinctive presence and compelling value while offering quick, nimble, fun-to-drive dynamics that will appeal to the lifestyles of modern luxury buyers and challenge the segment’s status quo,” he added.

The 2013 Cadillac ATS has an active shutter grille, he standard 17-inch alloy wheels, chrome trim, an integrated trunk spoiler, LED-infused headlights and vertical taillights.

Buyers get most choice of interior color options will be available and leather seats. Standard features will include Cadillac CUE infotainment system with an 8-inch touch screen, adaptive start, Bluetooth/USB/SD Card connectivity and to climate control.

Other highlights include a eight standard airbags; range-adaptive cruise control; brake pre-fill automatic collision preparation and optional GPS navigation.

  • A turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder with 270 hp (201 kW / 274 PS) and 260 lb-ft (353 Nm) of torque.

  • A 2.5-liter four-cylinder with 200 hp (149 kW / 203 PS) and 188 lb-ft (255 Nm) of torque.

  • A 3.6-liter V6 with 318 hp (237 kW / 322 PS) and 267 lb-ft (362 Nm) of torque.
