Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Venet

The special Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport made by artist Bernar Venet for Art Basel Miami 2012 with something truly special for this week's.

Bernar Venet is a French artist based in New York and was asked by Bugatti to help create something special for Art Basel Miami Beach.

Running across the vehicle's front fascia and over its flanks are dozens of mathematic and scientific formulas. These formulas are spread over a rusted metal-like finish, which is also a common theme of Venet's art.

Being based on the Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport, power comes from the familiar W16 8.0-liter turbo engine that produces 1,000 hp (746 kW) - a top speed of 252 mph.

"Bugatti is already a work of art in itself, one that transports both its beholder and its driver into new dimensions of reality,” said by Bernar Venet .

Bugatti Veyron Super Sports

Bugatti Veyron 16.4 became the fastest production car in the world in 2005, and now the French automaker has confirmed that the Veyron Super Sport successor will be debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September 2013.

Chief Vehicle Engineer Jens Schulenburg told the British car site: "The big challenge will be reducing weight – we are looking at some incredible technologies, such as wheels made entirely from carbon fibre."

Bugatti will focus on lowering the vehicle's curb weight by 250 kg (551 lbs) and the car that will have 1,600 horsepower and hit 290 mph.

The new Bugatti Veyron Super will retain the impressive W16 quad-turbo engine, but capacity could be increased from 8.0 to 9.6 litres. Which will go from 0 to 62 mph in 1.8 seconds and achieve a top speed of almost 290 mph (446.7 km/h).

Bugatti is reportedly preparing to debut a new car dubbed the SuperVeyron at next year’s Frankfurt auto show. The Bugatti SuperVeyron is expected to carry a price tag on the north side of $2.5 million.

The rumored acceleration time from 0-100km/h is 1.8 seconds, the Bugatti SuperVeyron may get 1,600 HP (1,177 kW) from an engine that's likely to displace 9.6 liters enabling this beast to reach a top speed of 288 mph.

The SuperVeyron wears more carbon fiber, helping it shave of almost 550 pounds over the Veyron Super Sport. The target weight of 3,527 lbs, the car would tip the scales at 1,600 kg will reportedly have a power-to-weight ratio of one kg (2.2 pounds) per hp.

I think I'd buy an airplane instead if I had that kind of money, and you don't have to worry about speeding tickets in the air...
