2014 BMW M6 Gran Coupe live in Detroit
BMW first showed us its new M6 Gran Coupe in December and now German carmakers has officially unveiled the model at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit.
Looking bold and aggressive, the model distinguished by a signature twin-kidney M grille, large front air inlets, evised side skirts, Adaptive LED Headlights and a carbon fiber-reinforced plastic (CFRP) diffuser.
The cabin is trimmed in touchable leather and carbon fiber with plenty of space for rear-seat passengers. The M6 Gran Coupe gets an Alcantara headliner and a M-specific steering wheel.
Under hood, the M6 Gran Coupe uses the same twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8 engine that produces 560 HP (412 kW) and 680 Nm (502 lb-ft) of torque. The fast four-door brings up 60 miles per hour in just 4.1-seconds and hit an electronically-limited top speed of 250 km/h or 305 km/h with the optional M Driver's Package.

2014 BMW M6 Gran Coupe Preview
Following this morning's leak, BMW has officially unveiled its M6 Gran Coupe. Aimed directly at the Mercedes-Benz CLS63 AMG, Porsche Panamera Turbo and upcoming Audi RS7 - the 2014 BMW M6 Gran Coupe is set to makes its world debut at the Detroit Auto Show next month.
The car is made instantly unique among four-door vehicles by its bonded-in carbon fiber composite roof panel, similar to the one found on the M6 Coupe.
Visually, the M6 coupe-like profile has been accented by all of the usual upgrades we'd expect including an aggressive body kit with a new front bumper, painted brake calipers, a signature twin-kidney M grille, flared wheelarches, optional Adaptive LED Headlights, four exhaust pipes in the rear diffuser and stylish 20-inch wheels wrapped in ultra-high-performance summer tires.
The M6 Gran Coupe weighs in at 1,950kg, just 5kg more than the M5, while 113-millimeter (4.45”) longer wheelbase.
Inside the M6 Gran Coupe gets exclusive carbon fiber trim along with boot space is 1,265 litres. The model is nicely equipped with Merino leather seats, the iDrive control system with a 10.2-inch Control Display, door sills with “M6” lettering, three-spoke steering wheel, Anthracite Alcantara and Leather are all standard equipment, leather upholstery and rear climate control.
The rear compartment offers three seats, the backrests of which can split and fold down in a ratio of 40 / 60 to increase luggage flexibility.
Under hood, the M6 Gran Coupe uses the same twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8 engine and double-clutch transmission as the latest BMW M5. Power peaks at 560 HP (412 kW) and 680 Nm (502 lb-ft) of torque. This power is sent to the rear wheels through a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission and an exclusive electronically controlled Active M Differential for optimal traction.
BMW says the M6 Gran Coupe is capable of accelerating from 0-100 km/h in 4.2 seconds and a top speed of 155 miles per hour. However, buyers can increase it to 189mph through an optional driver's package and adds some uprated tyres to cope with the extra high speed potential.
In terms of efficiency, average fuel consumption is put at 28.5mpg on the European test cycle with CO2 emissions of 232 g/km.
The Gran Coupe should be the best-selling M6 in the UK, pricing starts at €128,800 (including a 19% VAT).

BMW M6 Gran Coupe leaked ahead of Detroit debut
The first images of the 2014 BMW M6 Gran Coupe appeared on the web today while the car is scheduled to make its public debut at the 2013 Detroit Motor Show.
The BMW M6 Gran Coupe features the same bespoke styling cues with larger side skirts, body kit and carbon fiber hood, 19-inch wheels along with chrome trims on the double kidney grille.
The M-ified version of the car gains more aggressive body work, a Drive Dynamic Control toggle selector plus an variable-assist hydraulic steering system.
You won't be surprised to learn that the M6 Gran Coupe is equipped a twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8 engine that develops 560 HP (412 kW) and 680 Nm (502 lb-ft) of torque. Linked to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission with the firm's smart active rear differential.

BMW M6 Coupe tuner by G-Power
The German aftermarket specialists at G-Power has prepared an upgrade program for the 2012 BMW M6 Coupe build dubbed M6 Bi-Tronik III.
According to the tuning company, the BMW M6 Coupe also gets an adjustable RS coilover suspensions, carbon fiber brakes, a four-pipe stainless steel exhaust system, the Bi-Tronic III ECU remap and Silverstone RS 21″ forged wheels.
The power kit gives the M6 exactly 640 hp (471 kW) and 777 Nm (573 lb-ft) and 4.4 liter twin-turbo V8 unit. As a result, the 2012 BMW M6 Coupe sprint from 0 to 62 mph in just 4.2 seconds and capable of achieving a top speed of 310 km/h (192 mph).
Additional details on the upgrade kit are limited for the moment but the BMW M6 by G-Power is bound to break some new records.
BMW M6 Gran Coupe unveiled at Nurburgring
At a private Nurburgring event, German car maker has officially revealed the brand new 2013 BMW M6 Gran Coupe. The car will go on sale in Summer of 2013, following BMW's official unveiling in December 2012.
The low quality cameraphone shots reveal the car also gets a new aero kit, 20-inch 'diamond-cut' alloy wheels, a revised chassis, a carbon fiber roof and rear bumpers are lifted straight.
According to a report, the 2013 BMW M6 Gran Coupe is equipped a 4.4-litre twin-turbocharged V8 that produces 553 hp (560PS) and 680 Nm of torque. A 7-speed M-Double Clutch Transmission (M-DCT) will be transmitted to the rear tyres through a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.

2013 BMW M6 Gran Coupe without camouflage
We saw several batches of spy photos without any camouflage of the 2013 BMW M6 Gran Coupe in the Bavarian firm's factory. The newest member of the M6 family is expected to make its public debut sometimes next year.
The picture where we see the four-door coupe is equipped large alloy wheels, sculpted side skirts, side mirrors were redesigned and fender vents. There's another one in the background to match along with other traditional "M".
The 2013 BMW M6 Gran Coupe most likely it will be powered by the same V8 4.4-liter twin-turbo engine that produce 553hp (560PS) delivered between 6,000 and 7,000 rpm.
