2014 BMW 3-Series Gran Turismo debuts in Geneva
Following this morning's leak, the new 2014 BMW 3-Series Gran Turismo boasts enlarged dimensions, a configurable cargo area, and a questionably styled rear end.
Overall, the hatchback measures wheelbase of 115.0 inches is 4.4 inches greater than that of either current body style. Along with the taller ride height, the seating position of the 3-Series Gran Turismo is also higher: 2.3 inches, to be exact.
The load area also reflects the car's increased dimensions, its 520 litres of boot capacity even outstripping that of the 3-Series Touring by 25 litres. Owners can also expand storage capacity by adjusting folding the 40:20:40-split seat to produce up to 56.5 cubic feet of space.
Key styling highlights include a prominent grille connect still with those headlights, 18- or 19-inch alloy wheels, LED accent lights and a sloping roofline that tapers all the way down to the rear end.
The latest addition to the 3 Series family can be ordered in an entry-level version, with the Sport Line, Luxury Line or Modern Line equipment packages, or with the optional M Sport package, which will already be available from July 2013.
Like the 3-Series Sedan it shares part of its name with, the 3-Series Gran Turismo with three petrol and two diesel engines power the GT off the start line. The car will be offered in the US in both 240-horsepower 328i and 300-horsepower 335i forms. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual gearbox as standard while both gearboxes link up with the fuel-saving Auto Start-Stop function.

2014 BMW M6 Gran Coupe live in Detroit
BMW first showed us its new M6 Gran Coupe in December and now German carmakers has officially unveiled the model at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit.
Looking bold and aggressive, the model distinguished by a signature twin-kidney M grille, large front air inlets, evised side skirts, Adaptive LED Headlights and a carbon fiber-reinforced plastic (CFRP) diffuser.
The cabin is trimmed in touchable leather and carbon fiber with plenty of space for rear-seat passengers. The M6 Gran Coupe gets an Alcantara headliner and a M-specific steering wheel.
Under hood, the M6 Gran Coupe uses the same twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8 engine that produces 560 HP (412 kW) and 680 Nm (502 lb-ft) of torque. The fast four-door brings up 60 miles per hour in just 4.1-seconds and hit an electronically-limited top speed of 250 km/h or 305 km/h with the optional M Driver's Package.

New 2014 BMW X5 leaked
These are the first images of the new generation 2014 BMW X5 have leaked over the web today via a Facebook page of a Malaysian car model manufacturer.
The new generation of the BMW X5 has been codenamed the F15, has been spotted on a recently launched brochure of scale models made by Jadi Modelcraft.
Judging from these photos - the 2014 BMW X5 will get the front fascia of the 3-Series, new headlights, a more aggressive front bumper, grille design worn by the midsized sedan and wagon, and two fog lights located immediately below the headlights.
There aren't any confirmed details about the engine lineup, but we anticipate a series of four-cylinder engines to be used, both the gasoline and in diesel engines. Although too early to say for certain, it is likely that the car will be offered the latest generation of the xDrive all-wheel drive system.
According to a report, the new platform will have weight savings of up to 100kg and offer improved fuel economy.
2013 BMW X6 SP6 X by Sportec
Swiss tuner Sportec has introduced a new aftermarket package for the BMW X6 dubbed the SP6 X.
Outside, the Sportec SP6 X is also equipped with a sports exhaust system with carbon-fiber tailpipes, while 20-inch OZ lightweight alloys, which reduce weight by 40kg.
The package mainly focuses on the performance of the BMW X6. They focused on the inline-six 3.0-liter diesel engine that develops 375HP (276 kW) and 747Nm (553 lb-ft) of torque.
The 3.0-liter oil-burning V6 can now sprint from 0-60 mph in 5.4 seconds, making it 1.1 seconds quicker than the stock X6 diesel. Furthermore the Sportec crew has increased the top speed to 263km/h.

2014 BMW M6 Gran Coupe Preview
Following this morning's leak, BMW has officially unveiled its M6 Gran Coupe. Aimed directly at the Mercedes-Benz CLS63 AMG, Porsche Panamera Turbo and upcoming Audi RS7 - the 2014 BMW M6 Gran Coupe is set to makes its world debut at the Detroit Auto Show next month.
The car is made instantly unique among four-door vehicles by its bonded-in carbon fiber composite roof panel, similar to the one found on the M6 Coupe.
Visually, the M6 coupe-like profile has been accented by all of the usual upgrades we'd expect including an aggressive body kit with a new front bumper, painted brake calipers, a signature twin-kidney M grille, flared wheelarches, optional Adaptive LED Headlights, four exhaust pipes in the rear diffuser and stylish 20-inch wheels wrapped in ultra-high-performance summer tires.
The M6 Gran Coupe weighs in at 1,950kg, just 5kg more than the M5, while 113-millimeter (4.45”) longer wheelbase.
Inside the M6 Gran Coupe gets exclusive carbon fiber trim along with boot space is 1,265 litres. The model is nicely equipped with Merino leather seats, the iDrive control system with a 10.2-inch Control Display, door sills with “M6” lettering, three-spoke steering wheel, Anthracite Alcantara and Leather are all standard equipment, leather upholstery and rear climate control.
The rear compartment offers three seats, the backrests of which can split and fold down in a ratio of 40 / 60 to increase luggage flexibility.
Under hood, the M6 Gran Coupe uses the same twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8 engine and double-clutch transmission as the latest BMW M5. Power peaks at 560 HP (412 kW) and 680 Nm (502 lb-ft) of torque. This power is sent to the rear wheels through a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission and an exclusive electronically controlled Active M Differential for optimal traction.
BMW says the M6 Gran Coupe is capable of accelerating from 0-100 km/h in 4.2 seconds and a top speed of 155 miles per hour. However, buyers can increase it to 189mph through an optional driver's package and adds some uprated tyres to cope with the extra high speed potential.
In terms of efficiency, average fuel consumption is put at 28.5mpg on the European test cycle with CO2 emissions of 232 g/km.
The Gran Coupe should be the best-selling M6 in the UK, pricing starts at €128,800 (including a 19% VAT).

BMW M6 Gran Coupe leaked ahead of Detroit debut
The first images of the 2014 BMW M6 Gran Coupe appeared on the web today while the car is scheduled to make its public debut at the 2013 Detroit Motor Show.
The BMW M6 Gran Coupe features the same bespoke styling cues with larger side skirts, body kit and carbon fiber hood, 19-inch wheels along with chrome trims on the double kidney grille.
The M-ified version of the car gains more aggressive body work, a Drive Dynamic Control toggle selector plus an variable-assist hydraulic steering system.
You won't be surprised to learn that the M6 Gran Coupe is equipped a twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8 engine that develops 560 HP (412 kW) and 680 Nm (502 lb-ft) of torque. Linked to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission with the firm's smart active rear differential.
Pricing information and a more complete set of details will take place at the 2013 North American International Auto Show.

BMW 4-Series Coupe Concept Preview
The first images of a concept version of BMW's replacement for the 3-Series Coupe have officially announced the Web - the BMW 4-Series, which will go into production in the near future.
Now, with the unveiling of the 4-Series Coupe Concept, BMW is looking ahead to the fourth generation of its sporty mid-range coupe – and reasserting its global leadership credentials in the process.
The coupe version of the BMW 4-Series measures wheelbase (2,810 mm) is 50 millimetres longer, 1,362 mm in height, 1,826 mm in width and 80 mm to the rear track (1,593 mm).
The 'air breather', the vent seen on the fender behind the front wheel opening, is an adjunct to the 'air curtain' aerodynamic aid.
The BMW 4-Series Coupe concept also connects the two exhaust tailpipes in a dynamic sweep at the rear apron's outer edges.
The car has the usual BMW exterior cues, with hexagonal full-LED headlights, sloping roofline, 20-inch alloy wheels, grille is also much more pronounced and a new fender vent shaped like a reversed number seven.
As expected, the design of the interior is shared with the BMW 3-Series. Apart from a liberal covering of leather featured on the concept car, chocolate-brown Alcantara headliner, natural chestnut wood trim and centre console.
Unfortunately, engine information has yet to be released, but expect the same 328i and 335i designations from the sedan to filter across to the coupe.

2016 BMW 7-Series may lose the V12 engine
BMW recently celebrated the 25 years of V12 engines in its 7-Series sedan and releasing a special 25 Years Anniversary Edition - but the Germany automaker is considering giving its V12 powerplant the axe on its sixth-generation 7-Series sedan.
“The V12 is just the ultimate 7 Series in a certain way, and there will all the time be a particular customer base specifically wanting the prestige and the heritage of the car," speaking with Car Advice, BMW Australia product and pricing manager Christoph Priemel.
Currently, the 760Li is the only model in the BMW 7-Series line that sports a V12, which is a 4.4 liter TwinPower Turbo V8 has been updated with Valvetronic, output rising to 445 hp and torque to 480 lb-ft.
“We'll just see… [The S-Class is the] main competitor in our segment and we will see what they do. We are confident with our current product. We definitely have a very, very strong competitor.”

BMW i3 Coupe Concept live in Los Angeles Auto Show
The BMW i3 Concept Coupe is a two-door version, "stream flow" design wrapping its LifeDrive architecture and Life Module cabin.
The carbon-fibre body's visual impact is largely shaped by the gracefully flowing coupe roof line, that saves weight while adding safety strength.
Measuring 3,964 millimetres in length, 1,768 wide and 1,555 high, the BMW i3 Concept Coupe can be noted for its highly individual proportions.
The rear wheels are driven by an electric motor that produces 170 horsepower and 184 lb-ft and power is sends to the rear wheels via a single-gear transmission.
The motor's energy source is a lithium-ion battery pack in the car's floor, which sits low to the ground to improve the car's center of gravity for optimal handling.

BMW i3 Coupe Concept ahead debut at L.A. Auto Show
The launch of the BMW i3 Coupe Concept is presenting at this week's 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show bring boasts a carbon fiber body.
It's called the i3 Coupe Concept, features a carbon fiber body that saves weight while adding safety strength. There's are also revised exterior with a modified front fascia, updated rear end, a revised bumper, new side skirts and restyled doors.
The car lacks B-pillars and features a radical rear window design, the rest f the concept car is swathed in Solar Orange metallic paint.
The BMW i3 Coupe Concept cabin has also been revamped as it incorporates leather / wool seats, thanks to the vehicle's packaging, brushed aluminum accents and light eucalyptus wood trim.
The automaker claims the interior delivers a lounge-style ambiance with the functions as the navigation system as well as the information transfer between the vehicle and an iDrive infotainment system.
Motivation is provided by an electric motor, which produces 125 kW (170 horsepower) and 184 pound feet of torque. Underneath the concept car's floor sits a lithium ion battery, which enables the model to travel up to 160 km (100 miles) on a single charge.
Drivers will get a choice of three modes, including Comfort, Eco Pro and Eco Pro+, with varying performance characteristics.

BMW M6 Coupe tuner by G-Power
The German aftermarket specialists at G-Power has prepared an upgrade program for the 2012 BMW M6 Coupe build dubbed M6 Bi-Tronik III.
According to the tuning company, the BMW M6 Coupe also gets an adjustable RS coilover suspensions, carbon fiber brakes, a four-pipe stainless steel exhaust system, the Bi-Tronic III ECU remap and Silverstone RS 21″ forged wheels.
The power kit gives the M6 exactly 640 hp (471 kW) and 777 Nm (573 lb-ft) and 4.4 liter twin-turbo V8 unit. As a result, the 2012 BMW M6 Coupe sprint from 0 to 62 mph in just 4.2 seconds and capable of achieving a top speed of 310 km/h (192 mph).
Additional details on the upgrade kit are limited for the moment but the BMW M6 by G-Power is bound to break some new records.
BMW X4 concept might debut at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show
A recent report indicates that BMW X4 concept sports utility coupe will make its debut in Detroit in a couple of months. We also know that the car will be built in the US at BMW's plant in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
Confirmed by BMW chairman Norbert Reithofer earlier this year, the design language begins with the X6 lines in mind, a sloping roofline and significantly decreased cabin space.
Power will be provided by the same engines found on the X3, with a range of gas and diesel engines of the four- and six-cylinder varieties. In Europe, the X4 will get a traditional six-speed manual, a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic and a conventional eight-speed automatic.
Also planned is a hot X4 M diesel which will expand the M Performance Automobiles lineup, perhaps powered by a tri-turbo 3.0-liter diesel engine.
As a production model, the BMW X4 will be 4.65 meters long (183 inches), the same length as the X3 (F25). The body will feature four doors, the model will be aimed towards younger buyers.
The BMW X4 will carry a price premium over its more utilitarian X3 sibling, the car will likely start around $42,000 and go on sale probably at the end of 2013.

BMW M3 DTM Champion Edition revealed at Nurburgring
At the semiprivate '40 Years of M' event BMW held at the Nurburgring this week, the new BMW M3 DTM Champion Edition celebrates Bruno Spengler’s victory in the 2012 season of the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters competition has been unveiled.
The BMW M3 DTM will be limited to only 54 units with the number representing number and an homage to BMW's 54 DTM race wins.
The car looks similar to Spengler's matte black M3 race car, gets a special matte black finish called Frozen Black, larger alloy wheels, a ZCP Competition Package, gloss black air inlets, carbon fiber front splitters and carbon fiber rear spoiler, along with Bruno's signature on the carbon fiber interior trim.
The German car maker released no official pricing information on the new BMW M3 DTM Champion Edition, with deliveries expected to start in late January next year.

BMW M6 Gran Coupe unveiled at Nurburgring
At a private Nurburgring event, German car maker has officially revealed the brand new 2013 BMW M6 Gran Coupe. The car will go on sale in Summer of 2013, following BMW's official unveiling in December 2012.
The low quality cameraphone shots reveal the car also gets a new aero kit, 20-inch 'diamond-cut' alloy wheels, a revised chassis, a carbon fiber roof and rear bumpers are lifted straight.
According to a report, the 2013 BMW M6 Gran Coupe is equipped a 4.4-litre twin-turbocharged V8 that produces 553 hp (560PS) and 680 Nm of torque. A 7-speed M-Double Clutch Transmission (M-DCT) will be transmitted to the rear tyres through a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.

BMW i4 concept to be unveiled at LA Auto Show
A recent report is indicating that BMW is planning to bring a new electric vehicle concept to the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show. The BMW i4 concept will show up with a sportier version of the i3, we speculated to cost around $50,000 and if it goes in production.
The report suggests the new BMW i4 concept will offer buyers a lower and come with a steeper price tag if it makes production, a more dynamic profile on the road and two fewer doors.
Both the i3 and the i4 will presumably make use of the same carbon to offset the weight of a heavy battery pack. Necessary energy will be drawn from the battery for providing drive to rear wheels through a single-speed gearbox.
Under the hood, which has 168 hp (125 kW) and 184 lb-ft (250 Nm) of torque and BMW claims 0-62 mph performance of under 8 seconds.
BMW M Performance 3-Series Touring ahead Essen
About a month after the SEMA Auto Show that kicks off today, BMW has announced a slew of products it's going to debut at this year's Essen Motor Show including the all-new M Performance 3-Series Touring.
Available in Europe from next April, the BMW M 320d Touring can also be equipped with an M Performance Power Kit that lifts peak output of the 2.0-liter turbo diesel engine from the stock 184 HP (135 kW) to 200 HP (147 kW).
The BMW M Performance 3-Series Touring is expected to feature new bumpers, high performance braking system, aerodynamic side skirts, a sports exhaust system and 20-inch alloy wheels with a Ferric Grey finish.
The interior of the estate model will be enhanced with a sports steering wheel, Alcantara and carbon fiber for the trim and stainless steel pedals.

2013 BMW ActiveHybrid 7 improves fuel economy
The 2013 BMW ActiveHybrid 7 will get better fuel economy than its predecessor, again set new benchmarks in its class for performance, luxury, efficiency and safety.
Replacing the V8 engine with a new hybrid turbocharged inline-six the ActiveHybrid 7 gets 14 percent better fuel economy than the new BMW 740Li. The 2013 BMW ActiveHybrid 7 powertrain puts out 348 hp and 367 pound-feet of torque, can scoot from 0-to-60 mile per hour acceleration time of 5.5 seconds.
The BMW ActiveHybrid 7 can also go as fast as 37 miles per hour in all-electric mode and new model can also go up to 2.5 miles in EV model. EPA rating of 22-mpg city and 30-mpg highway.
The 2013 BMW ActiveHybrid 7 available only in long-wheelbase form, with pricing starts at $84,895.

2013 BMW M6 Gran Coupe without camouflage
We saw several batches of spy photos without any camouflage of the 2013 BMW M6 Gran Coupe in the Bavarian firm's factory. The newest member of the M6 family is expected to make its public debut sometimes next year.
The picture where we see the four-door coupe is equipped large alloy wheels, sculpted side skirts, side mirrors were redesigned and fender vents. There's another one in the background to match along with other traditional "M".
The 2013 BMW M6 Gran Coupe most likely it will be powered by the same V8 4.4-liter twin-turbo engine that produce 553hp (560PS) delivered between 6,000 and 7,000 rpm.

BMW Concept Active Tourer live in Paris
The BMW Concept Active Tourer five-door hatchback with a plug-in hybrid system and four-wheel drive has pulled the sheet at the Paris Auto Show.
The BMW Active Tourer is provided by a plug-in hybrid powertrain which features a 1.5-liter TwinTurbo 3-cylinder engine works together with an electric motor and a lithium-ion battery. The two motors provide 190 horsepower (140 kW) and 147 lb-ft (200 Nm) of torque.
The concept can operate solely on electric power, driven in electric mode for 30 km (18 miles). The BMW Concept Active Tourer can complete the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) sprint in under 8 seconds and can hit a top speed of around 120 mph, the Active Hybrid has an average fuel consumption of less than 2.5 lt/100 km (94 mpg US) with CO2 emissions of under 60 g/km.

BMW Concept Active Tourer officially revealed
The BMW Concept Active Tourer broke its rear-wheel-drive tradition today, ahead of its debut at the 2012 Paris Auto Show. Designed to preview the 1-Series GT, this model is first in the premium compact segment to combine comfort and space functionality with dynamic performance and style.
Though it's termed a concepts, the Concept Active Tourer it features aerodynamic styling with a prominent grille; 16- instead of 20-inch wheels; aggressive headlights and a sporty front fascia.
Inside, the BMW Concept Active Tourer incorporates traditional BMW's design cues. A cabin-surrounding light pipe system delivers a neon glow, a digital instrument cluster that has 10.25-inch display. In the rear seat area, a variable split-folding 40:20:40 rear bench that lies flat for extra cargo space.
Overall, the BMW Active Tourer has an exterior length of 4,350mm (171.2-inches), a width of 1,834mm (72.2-inches) and 1,560mm tall with a wheelbase that spans 2,670mm.
Under the hood, the BMW Concept Active Tourer is provided by a plug-in hybrid powertrain which features a 1.5-liter turbocharged three-cylinder petrol engine driving the front wheels. The two motors provide 190 horsepower, allows run from 0 to 62 mph in less than 8 seconds (a top speed of around 200km/h 124mph) with fuel-economy coming in at an estimated 98 mpg.
