2014 Acura RLX priced at $49,345
Acura has announced pricing details for its high-tech 2014 RLX flagship, the base Acura RLX will cost $49,345, or just $250 more than the RL it replaces.
Set to go on sale on March 15, the model comes exclusively with a 310-hp, 3.5-liter V-6 engine. Power is directed to the rear wheels courtesy of a reworked six-speed automatic transmission. Acura's flagship model is able to return 20 mpg city / 31 mpg highway / 24 mpg combined.
Standard features on the base 2014 Acura RLX include five different trim levels will be available. All RLX trims feature Lane Departure Warning; Forward Collision Warning; satellite radio; a 10-speaker audio system; USB ports and auxiliary jacks.
Acura's flagship sedan will be available in five trim levels, including the midrange $51,845 RLX with Navigation, the $55,345 RLX with Technology package and the $57,845 RLX with Krell Audio package. All prices include shipping.
Before the non-hybrid RLX are scheduled to begin arriving at dealerships in March, customers will be able to experience it in person beforehand as part of the “Destination RLX” program.

2014 Acura MDX Prototype live in Detroit
Acura has unveiled a thinly-disguised prototype version of the next-generation MDX Prototype crossover form today at the Detroit Auto Show.
Unfortunately, the fact that it's a prototype and not a production model, but that's only because it isn't 100-percent finished.
The 2014 Acura MDX has an evolutionary design which incorporates "Jewel Eye" LED headlights, prominent fenders and large shield grille.
Although the vehicle height was successfully lowered by 1.5 inches, a spacious interior equivalent to the current model was secured through highly-efficient packaging
Detailed specifications were not released, but Acura says the car will also be an all-new 3.5-liter V6 under the hood with direct injection and Variable Cylinder Management (VCM).
Acura plans to produce the all-new 2014 MDX at its Alabama plant and introduce it to the US market by mid-2013.

2014 Acura MDX prototype teased
What you see here is an official teaser rendering of the 2014 Acura MDX prototype, which is expected will debut at the 2013 North American International Auto Show in January.
The new SUV from the Japanese automaker will share “shield” grille bear a strong and headlights resemblance to the latest RDX. We can also see prominen bulging fenders, Aero Sculpture, air intakes and a sloping roofline.
Utilizing "Aero Sculpture" design language affecting both form and function, the MDX Prototype will feature alluring proportions with smooth, arching body lines matched to an efficient architecture.
According to a report, the 2014 Acura MDX will feature a version of the current model's 3.7-liter V6 produces 310 bhp (231 kW) and 272 lb-ft (368 Nm) of torque.
2014 Acura RLX live in Los Angeles Auto Show
Unveiled at the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show, Acura has officially taken the wraps off its all-new flagship sedan, the 2014 Acura RLX.
Identical outside to the RLX concept car teasing us earlier this year, the new Acura RLX earing a wide, sleek appearance, the car features standard 18-inch wheels designed to reduce tire noise.
Like a true flagship sedan, the 2014 Acura RLX should also roll with more vigor and improved mpg. A new direct-injected 3.5-liter V-6 put out 310 horsepower and 272 lb-ft of torque, while the Sport Hybrid Super Handling AWD system sends 370 hp to all four wheels.
The engine will be paired with a six-speed automatic transmission, capable of returning a fuel economy of 20/31 mpg city/highway and 24 mpg combined.
The overall interior looks clean and uncluttered, and the dual cowl-style dashboard is covered in far more premium materials. The cabin has leather and wood trim, an audio system by Krell with 14 speakers, a USB-port, forward collision warning, camera monitoring systems, two LCD screens, Milano leather seats and Acura Link infotainment system.
Pricing has yet to be released but the front-wheel-drive 2014 Acura RLX should hit dealers early next year.

Acura ILX Street Build and Endurance Racer live in SEMA
Making their world premiere today at the 2012 SEMA Auto Show are two modified versions of its new ILX entry-luxury sedan: Acura ILX Street Build and Acura ILX Endurance Racer.
2013 Acura ILX Street Build built by Evasive Motorsports to demonstrate the customization possibilities for enthusiasts. Outside, the ILX raids Acura's parts bin for side moldings and some stickers; a front underbody spoiler; 19-inch Volk G25 wheels with 235/35ZR-19 Pirelli P Zero tires; a rear underbody spoiler; a deck lid spoiler and side skirts.
Under the bonnet CT Engineering supercharger kit, air intakes, Civic-based model is an upgraded 2.4-liter gasoline unit that cranks output up to 250 horsepower with the help of Honda ta’s FlashPro ECU tune.
The second model is the 2013 Acura ILX Endurance Racer developed and built by Team Honda Research-West, a group composed primarily of Honda R&D engineers who work after-hours on track cars.
The Acura ILX Endurance Racer will make its competition debut at next month's 25 Hours of Thunderhill endurance race, and heavily modified to meet NASA US Touring Car regulations.

Acura NSX to be revealed in Detroit
The latest report says that the production version of the Acura NSX supercar will be unveiled at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show. The news comes courtesy of a Honda speaking at the Sao Paulo Auto Show.
There aren't any official details regarding the powertrain, but Acura NSX will come with a hybrid drivetrain, a V6 3.5-liter gasoline engine producing a total of 400bhp. A dual-clutch transmission will send power to the rear wheels, enough for a 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) sprint in less than 5 seconds.
Honda assure us that production was still a long way off on the vehicle, when it goes on sale in the UK later in 2013. The Acura NSX will be developed by an engineering team led by Honda R&D Americas, Inc., and built in the United States at a factory located in central Ohio.

2013 Acura ZDX pricing starts at $50,920
First introduced for the 2009 model year, the 2013 Acura ZDX promising will receive numerous styling and technology enhancements for the upcoming model year, Acura announced that this will be its final model year.
Originally conceived as a sporty crossover like the 2013 Acura RDX, but this car actually was only sold just 642 of them in the first nine months of 2012. Acura says it is killing off the slow-selling ZDX to revamp it in order to generate customer interest and focus on its volume products.
The 2013 Acura ZDX sports a new front grille design; dark wheel accents; integrated parking sensors; restyled wheels and power-folding auto-dimming side mirrors.
Inside the new Acura ZDX overall design remains largely unchanged, but the model comes nicely equipped with eight-inch display with a voice-recognition capable navigation system; a 435-watt sound system; Bluetooth connectivity; heated front seat; keyless entry and new trim finish.
The 2013 Acura ZDX also comes with Forward Collision Warning (FCW) and Lane Departure Warning (LDW) systems. The car will arrive on dealer lots on October 19 with an MSRP of $50,920.
“Moving forward, we will continue to advance the Acura lineup with a focus on new core models, like the recently redesigned RDX and the upcoming all-new RLX flagship sedan, that provide the ideal balance of performance and fuel efficiency that is right for each product and a driving experience that is dynamic and emotional,” said Jeff Conrad, vice president and general manager of Honda’s Acura division.

2013 Acura RDX Review
After officially announced at the 2012 Chicago Auto Show in february, the 2013 Acura RDX will go on sale in the U.S. with a retail price (MSRP) starting at $34,320. The 2013 Acura RDX was awarded the ‘Top Safety Pick’ award by the Insurance Institute of Highway Safety.
While the wheelbase is up only 1.4 inches but the exterior has been designed which looks larger and more elegant. The updates to the chassis has given the model slightly larger dimensions in comparison to its predecessor provide the new model is crisp inside and out.
Outside, the 2013 Acura RDX styling is more mature than before. Include a bold front fascia with the aforementioned pointed grille; round fog lamps; a high-mounted spoiler; elongated tail lamps and 18-inch alloy wheels.
Inside a comfortable environment for four adults and also treated to additional leg room. The cargo area will be widely until you fold down the rear seats. To keep cabin noise levels in check, a quiet drive has been created by sound deadening materials.
Standard features of the 2013 Acura RDX include new technologies such as Navigation System with Voice Recognition; Real-Time Weather; Real-Time Traffic with Traffic Rerouting; a Keyless Access System with pushbutton start; Pandora internet radio interface; GPS-linked solar-sensing; power actuated rear tailgate; a rear view camera system with three unique viewing angles and hard disk drive (HDD) with 60 gigabytes of storage capacity.
The 2013 Acura RDX prototype is powered by 4-cylinder for a new 3.5 liter V6 engine that produces 273 hp (276PS/203kW) at 6200 rpm, matched to a new 6-speed automatic transmission. The standard model available new all-wheel-drive system but for an additional $1,400.
Fuel-economy figures the FWD model returns 20 mpg in the city and 28 on the highway for the front-wheel-drive model and the respective figures for the AWD version are 19mpg, 27mpg and 22mpg.
Pricing starts at $35,205 for the front-wheel-drive base model and will be completed exclusively at the company's East Liberty, Ohio plant.
